필리핀 결혼이주여성의 공동체 활동 경험 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 필리핀 결혼이주여성이 동화를 강요하는 한국사회에서 공동체 활동을 통해 어떻게 자신의 삶을 구성해 가는지 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 국내 체류기간이 10년 이상이고, 공동체 활동을 3년 이상 해 온 필리핀 출신 결혼이주여성 15명이 참여했고, Strauss 와 Corbin(1998)의 근거이론 연구방법에 따라 분석하였다. 개방코딩에서는 266개의 개념, 62개의 하위 범주, 17개의 범주들이 도출되었다. 개방코딩에서 발견된 17개의 범주를 패러다임 모형에 따라 재배열한 결과, 중심 현상으로는 『타향에서 고향 재구성』과 『지구촌 시대의 가족』이 나타났다. 인과적 조건은 『한국사회 진입 채널』, 『소수자의 한계』, 『가족보호체계』로 나타났다. 맥락적 조건은 『소외된 곳에 비추는 빛』과 『나눔으로 다져진 결속』, 그리고 『가족의 무게』로 나타났다. 중재적 조건으로는 『안정의 토대』와 『공동체의 내적 갈등』 그리고 『인식의 전향적 개선』으로 나타났다. 작용/상호작용 전략은 『공공의 이익추구』와 『심리적 연대』 그리고 『우월한 지위 선용』으로 나타났다. 작용/상호작용의 최종결과는 『독자적 영역구축』, 『일상 속에서의 성장』, 『자기 주체화』로 도출되었다. 모든 범주와 연구참여자들의 경험 세계를 포괄할 수 있는 중심 주제로 『외연확장과 권한주체로 가는 길』을 선택하였고, 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 사회복지적 차원에서 결혼이주여성 임파워먼트를 위해 강점관점 실천에 기반을 둘 수 있도록 기존의 정책 전환 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to figure out the process and its result of how migrant Filipina shape their lives while participating in community activity in Korea. Participants were 15 marriage migrants Filipina who satisfy both two requirements; 1) who have participated in community activity for more than 3 years, 2) who have stayed in Korea for more than 10 years. The raw data were arranged according to the ‘Grounded Theory methodology (Strauss and Corbin 1998)’ In open coding 266 concepts, 62 subcategories, and 17 categories were emerged. In axial coding, those 17 categories emerged in open coding process were rearranged according to paradigm model. As a results, ‘reconstitution of home away from home’ and ‘family in global age’ appeared as the central phenomenon. The causal conditions that influences the central phenomenon, events, incidences, happening were appeared as ‘channels for entry into Korean society’, ‘the limits of minority’, ‘the system for family protection’. The contextual condition were identified as ‘the light flashing on alienated place’, ‘solidarity between a grain of sand’, and ‘the weight of family’. The intervening condition were figured out as ‘basis for stability’, internal conflict within community’ and ‘forward-looking improvement of recognition’. The action/interaction strategies were ‘pursuit of public interest’, ‘mental solidarity’, and ‘good use of prominent position’. Those end results of action-reaction were identified as ‘building a independent territory’, ‘growth in daily life’, ‘subjectivation of self’. For selective coding, ‘the way to both external extension and (being) the subject of right’ was chosen as the core thesis and around this thesis the outline of story was described. From the results of research, this paper proposed the following issues for empowerment of marriage migrant women from the perspective of social welfare.
