특수교육 현장에서 중도 뇌성마비 학생 자세조절에 대한 특수교사의 인식

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구의 목적은 특수교육 현장에서 중도 뇌성마비 학생의 자세조절을 위한 특수교사의 인식을 알아보고자 하는 것이었다. 연구방법: 연구 참여자는 특수교육 경력 3년-23년, 중도 뇌성마비 학생 지도 2년-20년의 경력을 가진 특수교사 14명이었다. 특수교사는 초등교사 7명, 중등교사 7명이었으며, 현재 특수학급 근무 교사 5명, 특수학교 근무 교사 8명, 특수교육지원센터 교사 1명이었다. 연구결과: 첫째, 특수교사들은 학교 현장에서 중도 뇌성마비 학생의 자세조절에 대해 많은 어려움을 갖고 있었다. 교사들은 중도 뇌성마비 학생의 자세조절은 학습, 시지각, 주의집중, 친구 형성, 사회적 관계 맺기, 자존감과 관련 있는 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 교사들은 중도 뇌성마비 학생들의 자세조절 방법에 대해 알고 있는 지식이 부족하다고 인식하고 있으며, 학교에서 자세조절은 기껏해야 학생을 스트레칭 해주거나, 맞춤형 보조기기를 사용하여 앉혀두거나 세워두기 정도라고 하였다. 둘째, 교사들은 중도 뇌성마비 학생 자세조절의 어려움을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 물리치료나 보조공학 전문가들의 정기적인 연수교육을 요구하였고, 학교 현장에서 사용될 수 있는 자세조절 매뉴얼 개발을 제안하였다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 학교 현장에서 중도 뇌성마비 학생의 자세조절을 위한 매뉴얼이나 지침서 개발에 기초적인 정보를 제공할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs of special education teachers on postural control of students with severe cerebral palsy in educational field. Method: This study used a focus group interview. The participants were 14 special education teachers in Busan and Gyeongnam. Their career was from three years to 23 years. seven teachers worked in elementary special schools and the other seven teachers worked in secondary special schools. Results: First, special education teachers had lots of difficulties in postural control of students with severe cerebral palsy. They recognized postural control of students was related to learning, visual perception, attention, interaction with peers and self-esteem. But they had no idea how to control the postures of students with severe cerebral palsy. They helped the students stretch or used customized chairs or wheelchairs. Second, the special education teachers recognized the needs of postural control of students with severe cerebral palsy. They required regular training by physical therapists about postural control and a manual or guideline for postural control of students with severe cerebral palsy in schools. Conclusion: The results of this study will provide lots of information on the development of a manual or guideline for postural control of students with severe cerebral palsy in schools.
