국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 특수학교 교사의 직무스트레스와 스트레스 대처전략 간의 관계를 탐색함으로써 특수학교 교사의 스트레스 수준을 감소시킬 수 있는 방안을 살피고자 하였다. 연구방법: 이를 위하여 특수교육기관에 재직 중인 교사 161명을 대상으로 직무스트레스와 대처전략에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 통계처리 하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 특수학교 교사의 직무스트레스 수준을 보통인 것으로 나타났다. 특수학교 교사의 성별, 연령, 경력, 학교종류, 학교 급, 담임여부, 담당 학생 수에 따라 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다. 둘째, 특수학교 교사의 스트레스 대처전략에 대한 인식은 보통인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 특수학교 교사의 성별에 따라 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다. 셋째, 특수학교 교사의 직무스트레스와 스트레스 대처전략 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 관계가 확인되었다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 특수학교 교사의 스트레스에 대한 대처전략을 개발하고 함양시킴으로써 직무스트레스를 감소시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate perception on the job stress and coping strategies of special education teachers. Method: 161 special education teachers were surveyed by using job stress and coping strategy scale. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one way ANOVA, and correlation analysis. Results: First, the overall level of job stress of special education teachers was normal. There were statistically significant differences between the groups according to age, career, kind of school, school grade, Second, the level of coping strategy for job stress of special education teachers was normal, and particularly, the problem-oriented coping strategy was on the highest level. As well, there was a significant difference in coping strategies according to the gender of special education teachers. Third, the relationship between job stress and coping strategy was statistically different. Conclusion: Based on these results, it was suggested that positive stress coping strategies should be implemented to reduce negative stressors and to develop strategies and programs for teachers healthy restraint by identifying job stress variables affecting special education teachers.
