초등학교 지체장애학생의 완전통합교육 경험

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 완전통합교육을 받고 있는 지체장애학생의 학교생활을 통해 지체장애학생이 일반학교에서 어떻게 생활하고 있으며, 이에 따른 지원방안은 무엇인지에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 본 연구를 위해 초등학교에서 완전통합교육을 받고 있는 지체장애학생 5명을 선정하여 개별 면담을 진행하였으며, 의미에 따른 범주화 과정을 거쳐 다음과 같은 결과가 도출되었다. 연구결과: 첫째, 완전통합교육을 받고 있는 지체장애학생은 친구와 동일한 학교생활에 만족해하고 있었다. 둘째, 지체장애학생은 신체적 어려움으로 인해 학교생활에 여러 가지 제한을 받고 있으며, 그에 따른 불편함도 가지고 있었다. 셋째, 지체장애학생은 특수학급에 대해 심리적 거리감을 가지고 있었다. 넷째, 지체장애학생은 특수교육 보조 인력에 대해 불편한 정서를 가지고 있었다. 결론: 마지막으로, 지체장애학생은 이동의 어려움을 돕기 위해 제공된 여러 가지 지원들을 배려라고 생각하지 않았다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과에 토대하여 논의하고 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the lives of students with physical disabilities and the ways to support them through their experiences in full inclusive education circumstances. Method: Five students with physical disabilities placed in full inclusive education classes in elementary schools were selected. Individualized interviews were implemented, and then the data from the interviews were categorized in regards to the meanings. Results: First, they were satisfied with the school lives same as those of their peers. Second, they had various limitations and challenges on their school lives due to the physical difficulties. Third, they felt emotional distance on special education classes. Fourth, they felt discomfort on special education paraprofessionals provided for their education. Conclusion: Lastly, they didn t regard a variety of supports offered to help them to travel as considerations for them. According to the results, the discussions were suggested.
