지체장애학교 중도·중복장애학생에 대한 교육과정 실행에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 기본교육과정의 교과대로 적용하기 어려운 지체장애학교 중도·중복장애학생들을 교육하는 교사들을 대상으로 교육과정 실행을 살펴보기 위하여 심층면담과 참여관찰의 질적 연구방법으로 연구하였다. 연구방법: 교육과정은 실제적으로 구현되는 교실이 중심이 되어야 한다는 인식아래 교사들의 교과관과 학급수준 교육과정 실행에 대해 살펴 본 결과, 교사들은 교육과정에 제시하고 있는 대로의 교과와 생활에 필요한 지식과 기능이 되는 교과로 구분하여 생각하였다. 교육목표를 자립에 두고 있었지만 학생들이 생활전반에서 전적인 지원을 받기 때문에 자립의 의미를 타인의 도움을 줄여가고, 학생들의 가능성을 찾아가는 것으로 보았다. 중도·중복장애 학생들은 개별적인 장애특성과 교육적인 요구가 다양하기 때문에 학급수준에서 교육과정을 재구성하여 개별화하였다. 연구결과: 특히 수업장면에서는 의사소통이 강조되었고 학급수준 교육과정 실행의 어려움으로 학생들의 심한 개인적인 편차와 학생들 스스로 하는 것이 없어서 어려운 평가, 교육에 대한 모든 책임이 교사에게 주어지는 것에 대한 부담과 학습을 기대하기 어려운 학생들에 대한 교육활동에 대한 안내가 부족함을 지적하였다. 결론: 또한 생활전반이 교육장면이 되기 때문에 학부모가 교육의 동반자가 되어야 함을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the current situation on the procedure of the class-level curriculum implementation for students with severe and multiple disaiblities with severe and multiple disabilities who are difficult to follow the basic curriculum of the special education at elementary schools. Method: In view that the class where the actual education is conducted should be the center of the procedure implementation, in-depth interviews with teachers of students with severe and multiple disabilities were conducted, as well as attentive observations through the actual participation in the class where the education is practically provided and the qualitative study on non-intervention data were used when necessary. Results: The result showed that the teachers considered the contents of the curriculum as the education procedure provides as it is and the other subjects that provide the practical knowledges which help daily lives separately. Though the purpose of the education for the students with severe and multiple disabilities is self-reliance, those students desperately needed various and general supports in order to lead normal living in everyday lives, therefore the meaning of the self-reliance was considered as reducing others help in daily living and finding and developing more and more things that can be done alone without help from outside. Since the individual characteristics of the disabilities and educational demands of the students with severe and multiple disabilities varies so widely the class-level educational curriculum should have individualized and undergone restructural change accordingly. Communication was especially emphasized in the class environment and excessive burden on the shoulders of the teachers for all the results of education under the difficult situation that nothing could be done by the disabled students alone together with the existence of wide gap among students in learning ability were identified and indicated as well. Conclusion: Furthermore, since the every aspect of living is considered to be the educational material for the disabled students the active participation from the parents into the education scene and environment was especially emphasized.
