영유아 특수교육 분야에서의 전이 연구 동향과 방향성

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 국내외에서 이루어진 장애 영유아를 대상으로 한 전이 연구의 동향을 분석하여 정리하였으며, 이를 기초로 영유아 특수교육 분야에서의 전이 연구 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2000년 이후에 발표된 논문을 체계적으로 검색하여 논문 선정 및 제외 기준에 맞는 총 42편의 연구 논문을 선정하였다. 최종 선정된 논문은 발표 연도 및 연구 출처, 연구 주제, 연구 대상, 연구 유형, 프로그램 내용 및 종속변인, 전이 유형, 주요 결과에 따라 분석되었다. 연구 결과 장애 영유아 전이 관련 연구는 근래 들어 다소 주춤한 경향을 보이고 있었으며, 영유아보다 부모, 교사 등 관련 성인을 대상으로 한 논문이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 실험 연구보다는 조사 연구가 많이 실시되고 있었으며, 국내의 경우 유치원에서 초등학교로의 전이에 관한 연구가 많은 대신에 국외는 유치원 이전 단계에서 유치원으로의 전이에 대한 연구가 많았다. 더 나아가 주요 결과에 대한 분석을 토대로 성공적 전이를 위한 주요 요소를 추출해 보았다. 이러한 분석 결과를 통하여 국내외 영유아 특수교육 분야에서의 전이 연구 동향을 파악하였고 향후 연구 방향성을 논의에서 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to examine research trends in the transition for young children with disabilities, and to propose future directions for transition studies in the field of early intervention/early childhood special education. For the purpose, journal articles were systematically searched via research database, and a total of 42 studies were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The studies were analyzed in terms of publication year and source, research theme, participants, research type, transition program and dependent variables, transition type, and important results. As a result, transition research for young children with disabilities were not actively conducted compared to the past. Also there were more research studies of having parents, teachers or others than those of having young children as participants. Furthermore, majority of studies applied survey research method rather than experimental research. Whereas domestic studies focused on the transition from kindergarten to elementary school, foreign studies focused on the transition from preschool to kindergarten. Lastly, important elements for successful transitions were extracted from study results. Based on these results, the research trends in the transition for young children with disabilities were recognized, and suggestions for further direction for the transition studies in EI/ECSE were presented in the discussion section.
