미국재활상담사의 다면적 역할 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 재활상담사의 활동이 활성화 되어있는 미국을 중심으로 재활상담사의 다면적 역할을 알아보는데 주안점을 두었다. 연구목적에 따라 재활상담사의 일반적 역할, 내담자와의 협력관계에서의 재활상담사의 역할, 직업배치과정에서의 재활상담사의 역할을 알아보았다. 재활상담사는 재활현장에서의 역할이 매우 중요하고 포괄적인 역할을 수행하며, 직업재활상담사의 역할을 포함하고 있다. 재활상담사와 내담자와의 친밀한 관계가 상담의 질을 높여주기 때문에, 상담자로서의 재활상담사의 역할도 중요하다. 그리고 재활상담사는 장애인의 직업, 취업을 위한 조언, 지도, 정보제공 등의 기능을 수행하고 직종에 적절한 사람을 연결시켜주는 업무를 수행하는 역할과 기능을 한다. 아울러 재활서비스 전달과정 중 가장 중요하다고 볼 수 있는 직업배치 과정에서의 재활상담사의 개입전략 기술 즉, 장래의 구직자가 취업인터뷰에서 예상해야 할 것에 대해 적절하고 정확한 상의 개발, 구직신청서를 효과적으로 작성하는 방법, 적절한 취업인터뷰 기술들이 재활상담사의 역할로 들 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is focused on the multifaceted roles of rehabilitation counselor in the U.S.A. According to the research purpose, this study examined the general roles of rehabilitation counselor, the roles of rehabilitation counselor in the cooperative relationship with client and the roles of counselor in the job replacement. The roles and functions of rehabilitation counselor are as follows:diagnosis, counseling, usability of community resources, recording and reporting,multifaceted functions and roles. In addition, it is the key role of counselor to make friendly and cooperative relationship between rehabilitation counselor and client, because it has important impacts on counseling. On top of that, vocational advices and guidances through job analysis and attitude, with related to the evaluation materials of disabled person are included. Additionally, the involvement strategy skills of the vocational rehabilitation counselor in a job displacement, that is, the would-be job seeker s interview skills, and how to write job application are also included. Like items mentioned above, various contents are included in the curriculum of education for rehabilitation counselor that perform multifaceted and important roles and functions in rehabilitation process, which give many suggestions to the cultivation course and in-service training and education for rehabilitation counselors in our country.
