학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원에 대한 특수교사의 인식 및 실행

국문 초록

학급 내에서 일어나는 문제행동을 평가하고 증거기반의 중재를 선택하며 실행하는 것은 교사에게 매우 중요하다. 이 연구는 학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원에 대한 특수교사들의 인식과 실행 정도를 살펴보고, 향후 효과적인 학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원의 실행과 적용을 위하여 무엇이 요구되는지를 알아보고자 실시되었다. 연구의 목적을 위하여 경기·인천지역의 특수교사 110명을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 결과, 대부분의 교사들은 사전 예방적인 교수접근을 강조하는 학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원 개념에 대한 지식적 면은 친숙한 것으로 나타났다. 학급에서 실행되고 있는 문제행동중재 전략은 강화, 타임아웃, 체벌, 토큰강화, 행동계약 등 적절한 행동 증가와 문제행동 감소를 위한 후속결과 중심의 응용행동분석 전략이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 반면에 선행사건 중재를 통한 순행적 학습 환경을 만들기 위한 예방 전략을 실행하고 있는 특수교사들은 많지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원의 실행 정도와 실행효과에 대한 인식은 대체로 낮은 수준으로 나타났다. 학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원 실행의 가장 어려운 점은 모델프로그램이나 관리프로그램의 부족과 협력적인 관계라고 하였다.

영문 초록

It is very important that special education teachers assess students problem behavior and carry out evidence-based intervention. The purpose of this study was to investigate special education teachers awareness and practical experience on classroom-wide positive behavior support(CWPBS), how special education teachers implement effective CWPBS and what factors are important to apply CWPBS. Eighty special education teachers who work in Gyeonggi-do and Incheon were surveyed for this study. Almost all of them were familiar to the knowledge on CWPBS which emphasizes on prevention instructional approach. But they could not apply the concept to their classroom. It was presented from survey that reinforcement, time-out, punishment, token reinforcement and contract were the main problem behavior intervention strategies of classroom. It was shown that the CWPBS was implemented a low level and practical effects from positive behavior support were also low. The difficult factors which CWPBS were implemented in the classroom were the insufficiency of model program or management program and collaborative relationship development.
