듣봄 강위영교수의 생애사 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 강위영교수의 생애를 통해 장애인 교육을 시작한 삶과 그의 태도 그리고 교수로서의 삶과 의미를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 질적연구로서, 연구참여자는 강위영교수 1인이며, 1차적 연구자료는 참여자 면담 내용이다. 2차적 자료로는 보조참여자 4인의 질문기록지 혹은 면담 그리고 관련 참고자료(도서, 팜플렛, 편지, 엽서 등)를 수집하여내용분석을 실시하였다. 연구참여자는 자료제공과 면담 등에 대해 적극적인 태도로 참여타당도를 높혔다. 자료의 신뢰도를 높이기 위해, 참여자 본인을 통한 확인(member check), 관련된 공식자료와의 이중확인(double check) 그리고 보조참여자의 면담 및 기록을 활용하였다. 연구의 결과는 첫째, 부산맹아학교 교사로 취업하여 장애인 교육을 운명적으로 시작한 것이 어머니의 소망(목사)과 연결되었다. 둘째, 새로운 학문분야를 열정적으로 시도할 수 있었던 대구대학교 교수 생활이 인생의 정점이었다. 학생들 유학 안내와 학문적 국제교류 등에서 강점이 있었고, 새로운 학문 분야를 열정적으로 개척하였다. 셋째, 연구참여자는 제자 사랑에 대해 스스로 제자 복이 많다고 자각하였고, 제자들은 먼저 사랑을 베풀어주신다고 자각하였다. 결론적으로 연구참여자는 특수교육의 세부 전공과 직업재활 분야를 새로운 도전으로 개척하였고, 인간에 대한 사랑과 따뜻한 존중감이 제자에 대한 사랑으로 이어짐을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand and present meaning his achievements of special education and vocational rehabilitation for the person with disabilities. The method of this study is a kind of a qualitative method, life history data, several materials (ex. books, letters, pictures, photos etc) and interviews are gathered. Participant is one retired professor and 4 subparticipants who provided individually experienced data. Transcriptions and documents are analyzed the meaningful contents. The participants validity is important for study of life history, so this participant is very cooperative, In addition, member check, double check, and sub participants are administered for the secure of validity. The results are followings. First, the destiny of the education for the students with visual disabilities and the hope of mother are connected. Second, the participant was very happy and satisfied that he attempts new curriculum, courses and systems in Taegu University. Though he had had difficulties in studying in US, he had good chance to connect the famous scholars for Taegu University. Also the president of Taegu University was very supportive to accomplish the new attempts. Third, the perception of deep affections for younger students is, as for participant, always be kind to students in advance. Finally, Professor Kang had accomplished the special education and vocational rehabilitation and he is very respectful to human. His deep affections for the youth and students are very special.
