잠재계층분석을 활용한 출소자의 사회적응역량 유형분석

국문 초록

출소자의 재범은 오래 전부터 사회적 문제가 되어왔다. 기존의 재범방지는 형벌중심으로 처벌과 그 후 관리·감독을 강화하여 일탈행위를 막는데 그 초점을 두었으나, 그 한계를 느끼고 출소자의 사회적응력을 향상시키는 회복중심 재범방지로 그 패러다임을 전환하고 있다. 대다수의 출소자들은 출소 직후부터 당장의 숙식해결부터 주거문제, 취업문제 등에 봉착하게 되고, 험난한 사회적응과정을 겪게 된다. 즉 출소자의 재범방지를 위해서는 이들이 출소 후 처한 상황을 이해하고, 이를 안정화될 수 있도록 유·무형의 자원을 지원해 주는 것이 중요하다. 출소자의 상황과 특성에 맞추어 갱생보호서비스를 제공하는 기관으로 한국법무보호복지공단이 대표적이고, 현재 제공하고 있는 갱생보호서비스를 바탕으로 어떤 특성을 지닌 출소자에게 어떻게 제공했을 때 가장 효과적인지를 연구할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 출소자의 특성 및 상황에 따라 필요한 갱생보호서비스가 다를 것임을 가정하고, 사회적응역량에 따른 최적화된 유형(잠재계층)을 탐색하고, 이를 갱생보호서비스와 연계하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 각 잠재계층의 특성을 구분하고, 연구의 시사점 및 후속연구를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The ex-offenders’ recidivism has long been a social problem. The existing prevention of recidivism was focused on preventing deviant activities by strengthening punishment, but the paradigm is being shifted to prevention of recidivism centered on rehabilitation. The majority of those released from prison will face immediate accommodation, housing and employment problems, and will undergo a tough social integration process. In other words, it is important to understand the situation they face after being released from prison and to provide tangible and intangible resources to stabilize them. The purpose of this study was to explore the optimized types(latent class) according to the social integration competencies, assuming that the required rehabilitation protection services would vary depending on the characteristics and circumstances of the ex-offenders, and to link them with the rehabilitation protection services. Based on the results of this study, the characteristics of each latent class were distinguished, and the implications of the study and subsequent studies were suggested.
