국문 초록

언어 학습에 있어 문화 교육의 필요성이 강조됨에 따라 한국어 교사의 문화 교수능력에 대한 관심도 높아지고 있다.그러나 지금까지 한국어교육에서는 교육 주체로서의 교수자를 위한 논의 자체가 부족했으며,문화 교수를 위해 교사가 갖추어야 하는 전문적인 지식이 무엇인지,그것을 어떤 형태로 습득하고 실제 수업에서 실현할수 있는지에 대한 논의들이 여전히 미진한 실정이다.때문에 한국어 교사는 문화 수업을 설계하면서 문화에 대해 어떤 인식을 가져야 하며,문화의 ‘무엇을’,‘어떻게’ 가르쳐야 하는가에 대해 어려움을 토로한다.이제는 교수자의 측면에서 교사가 갖추어야 하는 전문적인 지식을 확보하기 위해 근본적인 문제 해결을 위한 논의들이 필요한시점이다. 이에 본 연구는 한국어 교사의 문화 교수 능력을 신장하기 위해 문화 교육의 전문성을 결정짓는 교사의 교수학적 내용지식(PCK)의 개념에 주목하여,문화 영역PCK 의 구성요소에 따라 교사용 문화 교재의 내용을 분석하였다.이를 통해 문화 교수를위한 교사의 지식 내용을 체계화하여 효과적인 교수-학습에 접근할 수 있도록 이론적근거를 마련하고자 하였다. 분석 대상은 교사용으로 집필된 문화 교재 4권을 선정하였다.분석 결과 대부분의교재는 한국문화 교육을 위한 개론서의 역할을 하며 ‘교과 내용지식’과 ‘교수학적 지식’에 해당하는 내용을 중심으로 구성되어 있었다.하지만 교수학적 지식에 해당하는내용들이 거의 단편적인 수업 사례로서의 역할을 하였다.또한 교재별로 교과 내용지식의 편중 현상이 심하고,교수방법,교육모형,활동에 대한 내용과 타문화 지식,학습자 문화 지식의 내용 보완이 시급한 것으로 분석되었다.그리고 ‘상황적 지식’에 해당하는 내용도 상당히 부족하였으며,전체적으로 교재 구성의 내용이 교재별로 불균형하게 나타났다.이러한 결과를 반영하여 향후 한국어 교사의 전문성 확보와 질적 발전을 위해PCK에 근거하여 개선 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

While there is a growing emphasis on the role of cultural education in the Korean language learning, it is also right that skills of cultural teaching are an important role in Korean language teachers. Unfortunately, there were rare chance to discuss the importance of these skills and required professional knowledge for Korean language teachers. Also, there were lacking chances to learn these skills and apply to the practical circumstances. In these particular situations, it was true that several Korean teachers had a hard time to design a Korean class while they kept discuss about ways to perceive culture and apply these abilities to Korean language class. Now is the time to have a discussion to solve fundamental problems regarding the obtaining the professional knowledge for Korean language teachers from the perspective of the instructor. In order to enhance the cultural teaching abilities of Korean language teachers, this study focuses on the concept of the teacher’s pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) which determines the professionalism of cultural educators, and analyzes the contents of textbooks for Korean culture education based on the PCK. This study will provide the theoretical basis for effective teaching-learning by systematizing the knowledge content of cultural teaching. Four cultural textbooks written for teachers were selected for analysis, which showed that most of the textbooks serve as introductory texts for Korean culture education, and the contents of curricular content knowledge and professional knowledge predominates. However, the professional knowledge only served fragmentary cases for lectures. While we analyze these textbooks, we found that majority of these textbooks covers only simple lectures and are required to implement the teaching methods, educational models, contents of other cultural knowledge, and content for situational knowledge. Reflecting on these results, directions for improvements as well as the implications are suggested based on the PCK to secure the professionalism and qualitative development of Korean teachers in the future.
