비대면 방식의 세미나/글쓰기 수업 사례 연구

국문 초록

본고에서는 2020년도 1학기 덕성여대 1학년 교양 필수 과목인 「이해와 소통세미나」 수강생과 교수자 수업 만족도 설문조사 결과를 통해,독서토론과 글쓰기 온라인 강의에 대한 효용성을 파악한 후,‘줌(zoom)’을 통한 실시간 화상강의와LMS(LearningManagementSystem)의e-class를 이용한 온라인 수업 운영 사례를소개하고자 한다. 온라인 강의에 대한 다양한 문항의 설문조사 결과를 분석한 결과,온라인으로 진행된 독서토론과 세미나 수업도 소규모 인원 구성과 학습자-교수자간의 원활한 의사소통이 담보된다면 충분히 양질의 교육을 제공할 수 있다는 사실을 알게 되었다.반면, 팬데믹 상황에 기인해서 진행되었기에 세미나 도서에 대한 접근성 문제와 이에 대한해결책이 필요하다는 점도 확인되었다. 덕성여대는 2020년도 여름 계절학기부터LMS를 통한e-class를 운영하고 있고, ‘줌’과 라이선스 계약을 체결하여 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있는데,이를 통해 출결체크,상호토론,조별발표,학습결과물의 피드백 등이 가능하다는 것을 2020년 2학기 실시간 화상강의 수업 사례로 확인하고 소개하였다.덕성여대의 사례를 통해 대학이 온라인 수업을 진행할 준비가 되어 있는지의 여부가 비대면 온라인 수업 설계에있어 큰 변수로 작용하며,이와 함께 화상회의 플랫폼이나LMS를 수업에 적극적으로활용하고자 하는 교수자의 노력도 매우 중요함을 알 수 있었다.본고는 하나의 사례에 불과하지만,‘온고잉’ 코로나 시대 온라인 수업의 실질적인 운영방안을 탐색하고내용을 공유한다는 점에서 의의를 찾아 볼 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

In this study, we, intended to understand usefulness of online reading discussions and writing classes by surveying students and instructors of the -“Understanding and Communication Seminar” a required liberal arts course for the first year student at Duksung Women’s University-on their satisfaction with lecture. We also intended to introduce a case wherein online class was held through real-time video conferencing platform such as ‘Zoom’ and the e-class system of an LMS (Learning Management System). The results of the survey on online lectures indicated that online reading discussions and seminar classes may provide sufficiently adequate education when a small group of people and smooth communication between learners and professors are ensured. Conversely, since the online classes were held during the pandemic, the accessibility of seminar books was identified as a problem. Thus solutions have to be created. Duksung Women’s University has been conducting e-classes through an LMS beginning from the second semester of 2020, and has signed a license agreement with ‘Zoom’ to provide various services. In this study, it was confirmed that realtime video lectures may be used for attendance checks, mutual discussions, group presentations, and feedback on learning outcomes. The case of Duksung Women’s University reveals that the importance of both the role of the university the design of nont-contact online classes and of the efforts of lecturers to actively utilize video conferencing platforms or LMS for classes. Despite this being a case, there is value in its exploration of practical management plans for online classes and elaboration of experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
