국문 초록

이 연구는 리터러시 교육공동체의 역할과 기능을 교양교육의 패러다임과 관련하여 고찰한다.교양교육은 자유교육(liberaleducation)과 보편교육(generaleducation) 의 개념적 분할 속에서 공전하고 있는 것으로 보이는데 교양교육의 역사적 기원에 있어서 전공영역과 교양영역의 개념분화는 자유교육의 전인적 가치 문제를 중점화하는 반면,보편교육은 전공 진입을 위한 기초교육으로서의 성격을 강하게 내포한다. 이 두 논점은 크게 보면 교양교육이 가지는 근본적인 딜레마로서의 대학 교육구조 내적인 위계화에 있어서의 종속성을 시사한다.자유교육의 이상적인 측면은 그 고양된가치부여에도 불구하고 추상적인 일면을 드러내고 있는 까닭에 사회적 요구와의 거리두기를 전제한다.기초교육으로서의 보편교육은 대학교육 내적인 관계 내에서 교양교육을 이해하게 만드는 요인으로서 교양교육의 비자립성 내지 전공 종속성을 내포하고 있다.이 연구에서 주장하는 바는 교양교육을 전공교육과 독립된 관계 내에서사고하고 그 근거를 사회적 가치환산시스템과의 직접적인 관계 설정으로 도출할 수있다는 것이다.이 연구에서는 그 하나의 사례로서 리터러시 교양교육의 가능성을 탐색하며 이를 급변하는 어문계열 학과의 변동상황과 연관하여 분석하고자 한다.지식의 가치사슬의 생성과 재생산이 자유교육의 이상적인 규범 속에서 설명되는 것이 아니라 사회적 가치 생태계와의 관계 내에서 재설정될 수 있다면 교양교육은 하나의 지식 플랫폼으로서 기능할 수 있으며 어문계열의 매체적 기능들은 이 플랫폼 구조 내에서 다양한 방식으로 모듈화되고 융합될 수 있을 것이다

영문 초록

This study set out to investigate the roles and functions of a literacy education community in relation to the paradigm of culture education, which seems to revolve around the conceptual division of liberal and general education. As for its historical origin, the conceptual division between specialization and culture areas focuses on whole-person value issues in liberal education, whereas general education has a strong nature as basic education to enter an area of specialization. These two points largely imply dependence on the internal hierarchy of the college education structure as a fundamental dilemma of culture education. Despite its heightened values, the ideal aspect of liberal education reveals an abstract aspect, which is why it makes a premise of distancing itself from social demands. General education as basic education is a factor in enabling an understanding of culture education within the internal relations of college education and has the non-independence or dependence on a specialization of culture education inherent in it. The present study argues that one can contemplate over culture education in its independent relations with specialization education and that its grounds can be found in its direct with the social value conversion system. The study investigated the possibilities of literacy culture education as a case and analyzed it in connection to the rapidly changing situations of the language and literature department. If the production and reproduction of a knowledge value chain can be reset within its relationship with the social value ecosystem instead of being explained in the ideal norms of liberal education, culture education will be able to function as a knowledge platform with the media functions of the language and literature department modularized and blended in various ways within this platform structure.
