비례적 평등신념, 계층상승기대감이 창업의지에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 불평등과 양극화의 심화로 이른바 ‘개천에서 용나는’ 일이 더 이상 불가능하다는 인식이 자리잡은 한국사회에서 정부의 창업지원정책에 새로운 시각과 정보를 제공하고자 비례적 평등신념과 계층상승기대감, 그리고 주관적 계층이 창업의지에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 기회의 비례적 평등신념은 창업의지에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 계층상승 기대감은 창업의지에 가장 강력한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 주관적 계층은 결과의 비례적 평등신념의 창업의지에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조절효과를 나타내었다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 능동적이며 결과에 승복할 줄 아는 신념을 가진 사람의 창업의지가 높으며, 창업은 합리적인 계층이동 사다리가 된다는 점이 사람들에게 인식될 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 인식 확산 교육과 정책으로 잠재적 창업자들의 창업의지를 제고할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

We examine the effects of individual’s beliefs in the proportionate equality of opportunity and outcome on the entrepreneurial intention and the moderating effect of the subjective social status in order to provide the basic data by confirming the elements which would activate the entrepreneurial intention in Korea. The findings are as follows. First, it was found that the effect of the beliefs in the proportionate equality of opportunity on the entrepreneurial intention is not significant and that the beliefs in the proportionate equality of outcome makes a positive (+) effect on the entrepreneurial intention. Second, it was found that the expectancy for the upward mobility makes a positive (+) effect on the entrepreneurial intention. Especially, the expectancy for the upward mobility was found to be the element which makes the strongest effect on the entrepreneurial intention. Third, it was found that the subjective social status makes a negative (-) moderating effect on the influence of the beliefs in the proportionate equality of the outcome on the entrepreneurial intention. On the other hand, its moderating effect on the beliefs in the proportionate equality of opportunity and the expectancy for the upward mobility on the entrepreneurial intention was not significant. In the future, there is a need for more studies by adding various elements which are found to significantly affect the entrepreneurial intention to make further comparative study and analysis on the mutual interaction between them and the variables in this study.
