한국 전기자동차 (xEV) 시장 전망과 시사점

국문 초록

자동차 산업은 우리나라의 주요한 산업으로 타산업과 긴밀한 관계에 있으며 상호 영향을 주고받는다. 자동차 시장은 에너지와 환경문제로 인하여 내연기관에서 전기로 급변하고 있으며, 이러한 변화는 국내 산업과 경제에 상당한 영향을 미칠 수가 있다. 따라서 앞으로 전기자동차가 어떠한 속도로 국내 시장에 보급될 것인지에 대해서는 전망하고 이에 대한 대응방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 확산모형(diffusion model)을 이용하여 국내 자동차 시장에서 전기자동차가 어떠한 경로로 보급이 확산될 것인지를 추정할 것이다. 국내 승용차와 전체 시장 잠재규모를 Gompertz 확산 모형을 이용하여 추정한 결과 2,298.58만대로 전망되었다. 국내 자동차 시장에서 휘발유, 경유 등 내연기관 자동차가 전기자동차(xEV)로 전환된다고 가정한 뒤 국내 전체 전기자동차(xEV)의 확산 경로를 Gompertz 모형으로 추정하였는데, 이 때 미래의 자동차시장에서 내연기관 자동차가 전기자동차(xEV)에 의해서 완전히 대체된다는 가정과, 각각 50%씩 차지하게 될 것이라는 가정 하에서 전기자동차(xEV)의 확산과정을 추정하였다. 전기자동차가 내연기관 자동차를 전부 대체한다는 가정 하에서, 2050년에 전기자동차(xEV)는 약 2,005.3만대까지 시장을 확대할 것으로 나타나 전체 승용차 시장에서 89.9%를 차지할 전망이다. 전기자동차와 내연기관 자동차가 시장을 양분한다는 가정 하에서는, 2050년에는 국내 승용차 시장에서 전기자동차(xEV)가 차지하는 비중이 47.7%(1,063.0만대)에 달할 것으로 예상되었다. 보수적으로 전기자동차(xEV)의 미래 시장을 전망하여도 2030년에는 약 400만대가 보급될 것으로 분석되고 있다. 앞으로 전기자동차의 시장 확산 속도는 빨라질 것이기 때문에 이에 대한 준비를 해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The automobile industry is a major industry in Korea, and is closely related to other industries, and has mutual influence. The automotive market is rapidly changing from internal combustion engines to electricity due to energy and environmental problems, and these changes can have a significant impact on the domestic industry and the economy. Therefore, it is necessary to forecast how fast electric vehicles will be distributed in the domestic market and prepare countermeasures. Therefore, in this study, the diffusion model will be used to estimate the route of diffusion of electric vehicles in the domestic automobile market. As a result of estimating the domestic car and total market potential using the Gompertz diffusion model, it predicted 2,298.64 million units. Internal combustion engines, such as gasoline and diesel, are assumed to be converted to electric vehicles (xEVs) in the domestic automobile market, and then the diffusion path of all domestic electric vehicles (xEVs) is estimated using the Gompertz model. Under the assumption that the vehicle will be completely replaced by the electric vehicle (xEV) and that it will account for 50% each, the diffusion process of the electric vehicle (xEV) was estimated. Under the assumption that electric vehicles will replace all internal combustion engine vehicles, by 2050, electric vehicles (xEVs) are expected to expand to about 30,000 units in 2005, accounting for 89.9% of the total passenger vehicle market. Under the assumption that electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles are dividing the market, in 2050, the proportion of electric vehicles (xEVs) in the domestic passenger car market was expected to reach 47.7% (1,063.0 million units). Even when conservatively forecasting the future market of electric vehicles (xEV), it is analyzed that about 4 million will be supplied in 2030.
