영문 초록

After the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1937 The Korean Volunteer Army and the Japanese Anti-War movement groups which were consisted of the Japanese War Prisoners had been forced to have a paradoxical relation by the Communist Party of China. The Guomindang(GMD) and the Communist party of China had treated the Japanese War prisoners with the purpose of boasting of their morality over Japanese soldiers. To this purpose The Korean Volunteer Army contributed with their fluency of Japanese in interrogation, convoy and guard of the Japanese War prisoners. And the Communist Party of China used the Japanese Anti-war movement group in propaganda of anti-war principles in Japan as well as in parading its own leadership. In this context The Korean Volunteer Army and the Japanese Anti-War movement groups were forced to have an alliance. And Against the backdrop of world history during the 1930s and 1940s, a period marked by the confrontation between the fascist and anti-fascist powers, the Korean independence movement found itself having to define its identity as a leading member of the international anti-fascist movement. Under the overpowering shadow of the rivalry and tensions between the effectively combined Kuomintang and Chinese Communist parties during the second period of Kuomintang-Communist cooperation the various Korean groups had to choose sides for their own survival. And also the Japanese War Prisoners had faced the same condition as the other part. So these two parts had to have alliance for the resistance against Japanese Imperialism with the hidden support of the Communist Party of China. The cause of the Communist Party of China to encourage The Korean Volunteer Army and the Japanese Anti-War movement groups to have alliance should be studied within the context of the Party’s efforts to increase its power over the subjugated people in China during the period of Sino-Japanese War. And the background of the international people’s unity of the Anti-War and Anti-Fascist should be considered with the policy of the Communist Party of China’s toward the East Asia.
