국문 초록

본 연구는 개인의 주관적 건강에 영향을 미치는 특성을 다층분석을 통해 경험적으로 파악하고자하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 1수준 개인변수로 서울서베이 2017년 자료를 활용하였으며, 서울통계(stat.seoul.go.kr)의 2015년, 2016년 자료를 활용하여 행정동 단위의 지역변수를 구축하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면, 높은 스트레스 수준은 주관적 건강에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 정기적 신체활동 및 높은 보행 만족도, 사회참여와 모임 및 단체 활동은 주관적 건강에 긍정적영향이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 지역수준 변수의 경우 1인당 공원 면적, 지역생활안전 수준이주관적 건강에 통계적으로 유의한 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 이는 개인 변수를통제하고도 개인의 건강을 증진하기 위해서는 쾌적한 지역사회 환경을 조성할 필요성에 대한 근거를 제시한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 서울시 행정동 단위의 지역 주민 주관적 건강증진을 위한 정책적, 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to empirically investigate the regional characteristics affecting subjective health status in Seoul using HLM analysis. Proposing that regional policies should be implemented to improve the subjective health of individuals, this study tries to verify their impact by using variables not included in previous research. For analysis, two different data sources were merged: the individual-level data derived from the 2017 Seoul Survey and the socio-demographic and physical environment factors of 424 administrative districts collected from Seoul Statistic (stat.seoul.go.kr) in 2015 and 2016. Among individual-level variables, stress level, physical activities, satisfaction for pedestrian, social participation were statistically associated with subjective health status. Also, the results indicated that environmental amenities such as local park area per person and local life safety had a statistically significant effect on subjective health and happiness index after controlling for individual-level variables. Therefore, the empirical evidence establishes the effect of environmental factors and validates the importance of developing a local community environment for promoting the health of local residents. This study sheds light on the necessity of policy and practical implications for the subjective health promotion of local residents.
