개인 자서전을 통해 본 해방 후 북한 교육의 지향과 인민들의 세계관·가치관 변화

국문 초록

이 연구는 북한지역 개개인들이 남긴 자서전과 이력서를 통해, 해방 후 인민들에게 주입된 교육의 내용과 그들의 세계관·가치관 변화를 추적하고자 하였다. 북한의 공식 기록물들은 체제의 이데올로기 교육과 그에 따른 인민들의 사상의식 개혁을 선전하며 긍정적 측면들만을 강조하는 경향이 있다. 그러나 개인 기록물인 자서전류는 동일한 사건에 대해서도 체제의 목소리와 다른 이야기를 들려주거나, 그간 알려지지 않았던 새로운 사실들을 끄집어내기도 한다. 이 연구는 그러한 개인적 경험들을 조합해 북한 교육체계의 기원을 역동적으로 재구성하고자 한다. 지금까지 북한사 연구자들의 자서전류 활용은 매우 소극적으로 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 이 연구는 과감히 자서전류를 주자료로 활용해, 그간 역사의 수면 아래 가라앉아 있었던 알려지지 않은 수많은 개개인들의 행적을 찾아 북한사의 전개과정에 대입해보고자 한다. 북한사를 미시사의 관점에서 재구성하려는 시도는 북한사 연구방법론의 새로운 출구 모색에도 도움이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study intends to examine changes in world view and values of people as well as contents of education that were infused to them after liberation through autobiographies and personal histories written by individuals in North Korea. Official records of North Korea tend to emphasize positive aspects of ideological education by propagating reform of people’s consciousness followed by it. However autobiographies which are personal records, tell other voices compared to voices of the system about same events or they bring out new unknown facts. This study attempts to reconstruct the origin of North Korean education system dynamically by combining such personal experiences. Until now, the use of autobiographies by researchers of North Korean history has been very rare. However this study intends to utilize autobiographies as main data and to reveal actions of many unknown individuals. Attempts to reconstruct North Korean history in perspective of microhistory will help to find a new way of research methodology of North Korean history.
