항일가극 <아리랑>을 통해 본 한유한의 예술구국활동

국문 초록

韓悠韓은 1910년 2월 21일 釜山 동래에서 태어나 6살 때 중국에서 활동하던 부친 韓興敎를 찾아 중국으로 건너갔다. 1937년 중일전쟁 발발 이후 中國戱劇學會에 가담하면서 본격적인 예술구국의 행보를 걷기 시작하였다. 그는 중국희극학회 救亡演劇隊員으로 西安으로 활동지를 옮긴 후 戰時工作幹部訓練第4團 藝術隊 音樂組 小校 敎官으로 임명되어 활동을 시작하였다. 이후 重慶에서 조직된 韓國靑年戰地工作隊가 시안으로 이동해 오자 이들과 함께 활동하며 예술구국활동을 전개하였다. 1940년 전지공작대의 招募활동과 병사지원을 위해 歌劇 <아리랑>을 처음으로 상연하였다. 1941년 전지공작대가 광복군 제5지대로 편입된 후에는 선전조장을 맡아 광복군과 함께 <아리랑> 공연을 이어가며 광복군의 위상제고, 독립의지의 고취, 한중 간 연대 강화에 기여하였다. 해방 직전까지 계속된 한유한의 예술구국활동은 음악과 연극을 이용한 새로운 독립운동의 방략을 제시하였다. 이는 전시 하 제한된 독립운동의 환경 속에서도 큰 성과를 거두는 요인이 되었다.

영문 초록

Han Yu-han was born in Busan on February 21 1910. When he turned six years old, he went to China in search of his father, Han Heung-gyo, who was active in the country. Graduating from Shanghai Xinhua Arts College, Han was dispatched to Shandong to establish a children’s theater. In the theater, he staged children’s plays such as Li Na . After the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937, Han joined the Chinese Theater Association and started to walk the path of an artist and patriot in full-scale. After moving to Xian with the association, Han acted as an instructor of the Fourth Class Art Team of Wartime Work Cadre Training Class established by Huzongnan for the purpose of political operations in the Northwestern Region. At that time, the Korean Youths Battlefield Mission Corps, originally organized in Chongqing, moved to Xian, and so Han jointed the corps. In 1940, Han staged the opera for the first time to support the recruitment activities and soldiers of the Battlefield Mission Corps. In 1941, after the Battlefield Mission Corps was incorporated into the Fifth Zone of the Korean Liberation Army, he took charge of propaganda and continued to stage the operetta together with the Korean Liberation Army. By doing so, he contributed in enhancing the position of the Korean Liberation Army, inspiring wills for national independence, and reinforcing Sino-Korean solidarity.
