교섭 중심 쓰기수업 연구

국문 초록

이 연구를 통해 쓰기교육에서 교섭의 필요성과 교섭 중심의 쓰기수업 모형, 쓰기수업에서 나타나는 교섭에 대해서 살펴보았다. 성인이나 동료들과의 협력, 교사와 학생의 학생과 학생의 적극적인 교수대화, 담화 공동체 안에서의 의미 협상을 ‘교섭’이라는 개념으로 정리하였다. 교섭 중심의 쓰기수업은 쓰기의 전체 과정을 ‘개인 내적인 교섭’과 ‘개인 간의 교섭’으로 보고, 수업의 초점을 ‘개인 간 교섭’에 둔다. 개인 간 교섭 활동은 모둠 토의, 1:1면담, 동료평가에서 이루어진다. 모둠 토의는 읽기와 초고쓰기를 이어 주는 역할을 한다. 이때 학생들의 논의가 주된 활동이며 교사는 필요에 따라서 논의에 개입하여 사고의 폭과 깊이에 영향을 준다. 1:1면담은 초고쓰기와 완성본쓰기를 이어 주는 역할로 교섭 중심 쓰기의 핵심이 된다. 학생과 교사가 수평적인 관계에서 독자로서의 반응과 의미 구성에 대한 의견을 나누며 실질적인 쓰기 지도가 이루어진다. 동료평가는 내면화 과정에 영향을 끼친다. 동료가 작성한 글을 평가하면서 자신의 글을 되돌아보기도 하고 동료의 질문에 답변도 하면서 쓰기에 대한 이해가 깊어진다. 한편, 교섭 중심의 쓰기수업을 가능하게 하는 요소로는 역할 분담, 과제제시, 물리적인 쓰기 환경을 들 수 있는데 이에 대한 체계적인 준비가 수업 진행만큼이나 중요하다. 연구는 언어와 심리 중심의 관점을 넘어 교육적인 관점으로 쓰기교육에 접근하여 학생과 교사, 학생과 학생의 의미협상 과정을 ‘교섭’으로 개념을 정리하고, ‘개인 간 교섭’을 쓰기수업의 중심활동으로 연구하였다는 데에 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

In this study, we examined over the need of transaction, transaction based writing instruction model, and transaction appearing in writing instruction. I defined all of the belows ‘Transaction’; cooperation among peers/adults, instructive conversation between teacher-student and student-student, and transaction of meaning in discourse as main activities performed in writing class. In transaction based writing instruction model, entire processes of writing consist of ‘Inner Transaction’ and ‘Interpersonal Transaction’ which is considered more important than the former. ‘Interpersonal Transaction’ progresses during group discussion, one to one counseling, and peer evaluation. Group discussion plays a role of linking reading to draft writing. At this time, main activity is a discussion among students and their widths and depths of thinking can be influenced by teacher who participates in discussion process as needed. One to One counseling which is the key to the ‘Transaction based writing’ plays a role as a bridge between draft to finished work. Practical writing instruction is made when teacher and student exchange their opinion about reaction as the reader and semantic composition in horizontal relationship. Peer evaluation influences on the process of internalization. While evaluating peer s writing, reflecting on their own writing and answering the question of peers, students are expected to have deeper understanding on writing. Meanwhile, the components which makes writing instruction possible are role sharing, providing assignment, and writing environment and it is crucial as much as writing instruction itself. This study have significance in that it defined the process of transaction of meaning between student and students as ‘Transaction’ in pedagogical perspective and researched ‘Interpersonal Transaction’, associating it with writing oriented activity.
