국문 초록

이 글에서는 건국대학교 글로컬캠퍼스 작문교육의 현황을 점검함으로써, 대학작문교육의 특수성을 살펴보고 나아갈 방향을 모색해 보았다. 첫째, 작문 교과는 개별 학교의 목표에 부응해야 한다. 별도로 독립된 교양 기구는 전공교과의 초급과정 개설이 아니라, 학교의 목표를 실현하는 새로운 교양개발에 주력해야 한다. 둘째, 작문교과는 교양교육의 목표에 부응해야 한다. 교양으로서 작문교과는 학생들이 자유정신을 실현할 수 있는 탐구와 수련의 기회를 제공해야 한다. 공감과 감성 능력의 수행을 통해, 내면의 자유를 축적할 수 있는 기회를 제공해 주어야 한다. 셋째, 작문교과는 작문의 고유성과 전문성을 실현해야 한다. 학생들이 사회에서 자기표현 능력을 십분 발휘할 수 있도록, 다양한 자기표현 방법과 기술을 숙련시킬 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 한다. 작문교과 과정뿐 아니라, 비교과 프로그램을 통해 학생들이 지속적으로 자기 연마할 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 한다.

영문 초록

This paper explores the characteristics of composition course and tries to find a further direction by examining the present state of the composition course on the GLOCAL campus of Konkuk university. Firstly, the composition course should cope with the educational aims of the individual university. A separately independent institution of liberal arts should concentrate on developing new courses of liberal arts that realize the aims of university other than simply opening preliminary courses for major subjects. Secondly, the composition course should cope with the aims of the education of liberal arts. The composition course as liberal arts should provide students with opportunities of exploration and discipline with which they can make their free spirits come true. Through performance of empathic and emotional abilities, it should provide students with opportunities of storing up their inner freedom. Thirdly, the composition course should realize peculiarity and professionalism of composition. In order for students to show off their abilities in society, it should provide students with opportunities of becoming skillful in various self-expression methods and techniques. As well as the hours of composition course, through extra-curricular programs, it should provide students with opportunities of incessantly training themselves.
