국문 초록

이 논문은 동국대학교 경주캠퍼스의 글쓰기 교육과정 구축과 운영 사례를 소개한 연구이다. 글쓰기 교과는 교양필수 영역에서 <글쓰기 1, 2>의 두 강좌를 필수 과목으로 운영하고 있다. 1학년 1학기에 개설되는 <글쓰기 1>은 보편적인 원리를, 2학기에 개설되는 <글쓰기 2>는 장르별 특징을 익히도록 설계되었다. 교재는 ‘실습?학생’ 중심의 맞춤형으로 개발되었다. 각 장은 ‘목표 인지-이론 이해-기능 습득’의 3단계로 이루어졌다. 비교과 프로그램으로는 글쓰기 클리닉, 글쓰기 세미나, 실용글쓰기, 독서 멘토링, 글쓰기 공모전을 시행하고 있다. 2011년 2학기부터 3개 학기 동안 진행한 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 인원이 약 1만 명으로 집계되었다. 클리닉을 받은 인원이 약 4천 명이고, 세미나에는 1천 명이 넘는 인원이 참가했다. 비교과 프로그램을 지속적으로 개선하기 위해 운영 결과를 분석한 자료를 지속적으로 축적하고 있다. 글쓰기 교육 담당 기구를 확대 개편하고 전담 인력을 확보함으로써 글쓰기 교육 발전의 토대를 확립하였다. 교과에서는 ‘맞춤형 교재-교수자 연수’로 강의 표준화를 실현하였고, 비교과 프로그램들은 교과와 연계된 운영으로 글쓰기 교육성과 극대화 실현했다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 향후 행정적인 지원으로 교양교육 담당 부서를 단과대학으로 확대 개편, 인력 충원, 강의 시수 확대 등을 계획하고 있다.

영문 초록

This paper is to introduce the building and operating practices of writing curriculum and its operating practices of Dongguk University, Gyeongju Campus. , two courses of the writing curriculum has been operating as a required subject. was designed to give fundamental principles for writing paragraphs (or sentences) to be established in the first semester for freshman, and was (designed) to give better understandings for characteristics of each writing genre. The textbook was developed according to our “practice-students” oriented customized syllabus. Each chapter consists of three steps, ‘recognition of the goal-understanding the theory-learning the skills’. Extra programs such as writing clinics, writing seminars, business writing, reading mentoring, and writing contests are simultaneously operated during semester. Ten 1,000 of students have been involved in the extra programs for three semester since 2nd semester of 2011. Approximately 4,000 students were trained from writing clinics and more than 1,000 students participated in the writing seminars. The extra programs are steadily monitored and analyzed to improve this course. We established a foundation of writing education by reorganizing and expanding the administrative organization and increasing the faculty numbers. It has a significant meaning that the standardized courses achieved by using “customized textbook-teacher training” as well as extra writing programs can lead to maximized educational outcomes for writing curriculum. The promotion to the college status of the department of general education, continuous increasing the faculty and the classes as well as administrative supporting system are under discussion to make better circumstances for writing education.
