국문 초록

본 연구는 덕성여대의 교양 필수 과목 ‘이해와 소통Ⅱ : 문학·예술’의 수업 사례를 통하여, 독서 세미나와 글쓰기 연계 수업의 방식을 소개하고 그 의의를 찾고자 하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이 수업은 덕성여대에서 오랜 역사를 가진 강좌로 대학 구성원들의 자부심이 높은 과목이다. 20명 정원의 소규모 수업이라는 좋은 여건 속에서 개교 이래 40년 이상 진행되어 왔다. 독서 세미나 중심의 강좌이며 수업 중 글쓰기가 연계되는 방식을 취하고 있다. 2010년대 들어 대학 글쓰기 강좌가 고전 읽기와 글쓰기가 결합되는 방식으로 선회하게 된 것과 관련하여 다시 한 번 주목하게 되는 교양 강좌이다. 이 수업에서 학생들은 매주 1권의 문학고전을 읽고 토론한 후 수업의 결과를 포트폴리오에 담게 된다. 포트폴리오를 구성하는 기본적 글쓰기는 개인견해서, 조별 발제문, 학습 전략, 토의 보고서, 감상문, 독서보고서, 자기 평가서이다. 이 수업에서 포트폴리오는 독서와 이를 바탕으로 한 글쓰기가 결합된 다양한 학습 결과물들이 정리된 한 편의 학습노트와 같은 역할을 한다. 포트폴리오를 활용한 수업의 효과는 교수자의 입장에서 읽기와 글쓰기가 결합된 수업의 다양한 증거들을 수집한다는 의미이다. 수업의 모든 과정을 정렬 시키며, 계속적으로 학생의 읽기와 글쓰기 발달의 증거를 수집한다. 읽기와 연계된 글쓰기 수업에 관한 성찰을 반영한다. 학생의 입장에서는 자유롭게 자신의 수업과 학습 내용 중 최상의 것(글)을 선택하고, 반성적인 관점에서 포트폴리오의 내용을 개성적으로 꾸밀 수 있다. 학생들은 포트폴리오 구성을 통해 자기만의 수업 목표를 정하고 이를 성취해 나가는 과정을 스스로 확인하면서 평생 독자로서 올바른 독서 습관과 관점을 갖게 된다. 무엇보다 각각의 텍스트에 대한 이해와 성찰의 과정을 글쓰기로 배열함으로써 사고의 과정을 시각적으로 구상화해 낼 수 있어서 한 권의 책을 온전하게 이해하며 이를 읽고 난 인지적, 정서적 결과물을 글쓰기로 표현하는데 도움이 되는 효과가 있다.

영문 초록

This study introduces understanding and communication 2: A case study of lesson and also introduces linked lesson of reading seminar and writing. This course is a lecture which has a long history and good reputation in Duksung women s university. This course is a small class with 20 student and it is continued for 40 years. This course is focused on reading seminar and it is linked with writing. In 2010, writing course in university have swung to link the classic literature reading and writing. Therefore this liberal arts course received attention again. Students read one classic literature every week in this class. After they discuss it, they put the lecture output in portfolio. Basic writings which compose portfolio are individual opinion, group discussion paper, learning strategy, discussion report, book report, reading report and self-evaluation. Portfolio in this course plays role as a learning note which contains well organized learning output of reading and writing. There are several effects of lesson which utilized portfolio. Teacher can collect various documentary evidence that reading and writing are linked. Teacher arranges the whole course process and collect the evidence of student s growth in reading and writing. It reflects the introspection on the writing lesson which is linked with reading. Students can freely select the best writing among his lecture and learning, they can modify contents of portfolio with reflective view. Students choose their own lesson target through portfolio organization and they can get right reading habit and viewpoint by accomplishing their portfolio. Students arrange the process of understanding and introspection for the each text with reading, they can visually organize the thinking process. Therefore, this course have an effect to express their cognitive and emotional output after they read a book.
