언어치료사의 언어표본(자발화) 분석에 대한 인식 및 활용 실태

국문 초록

배경 및 목적: 언어표본분석은 언어표현 능력을 평가하는 필수적인 방법 중 하나로 언어장애 평가에 사용되도록 권장된다. 본 연구는 설문조사연구를 통해 언어치료사들의 언어표본분석 사용 실태와 요구를 확인하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 언어표본분석의 개선점을 제시하고자 하였다. 방법: 1,351명의 언어치료사가 연구에 참여하였다. 설문지는 기본정보, 평가 실제, 언어표본분석 사용, 언어표본분석을 위한 컴퓨터 활용, 그리고 언어표본분석 훈련 및 교육에 대한 요구 등을 주된 내용으로 구성하였다. 설문지는 온라인 설문조사 형식으로 제작하여 이메일을 통해 참가자들에게 배포하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계와 χ2를 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 언어표본분석 실시 현황에서 응답자의 절반만이 언어표본분석을 실시한다고 응답하였으며, 실시한다고 응답한 경우에도 분석표본 수가 연간 10개 미만이라고 보고했다. 소지 자격증에 따라서는 1급언어재활사 자격 소지자가 2급 언어치료사 자격증 소지자에 비해 유의하게 언어표본분석을 더 많이 수행하였다. 언어표본분석을 실시하지 않는 이유로는 시간이 많이 걸린다는 것이 주된 이유로 나타났다. 설문 응답자의 대다수는 언어표본분석을 위한 심화된 교육이나 훈련에 대한 요구가 높았으며 기회가 된다면 참여하겠다는 의사를 나타냈다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구를 통해 대부분의 언어치료사들이 언어표본분석을 하지 않으며, 시간적 제약이 언어분석을 실시하지 않는 주된 이유임을 확인하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 언어표본분석을 활성화 하고 발전시킬 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives: Language sample analysis is one of most the useful methods of assessing spoken language expression ability and is recommended that SLPs use it for evaluation of language disorders. This study aimed to examine use of and needs for language sample analysis (LSA) by Korean speech-language pathologists (K-SLPs) and to suggest improvements for language analysis as an assessment of persons with language disorders based on the results. Method: 1,351 K-SLPs participated in the study. A questionnaire was developed to investigate the demographic information, assessment practices, use of language analysis, and need for using computer-based language analysis and advanced education on language analysis; and then the questionnaire was sent to the participants through an online survey format. The survey data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and χ2. Results: Only half of the respondents indicated they conducted LSA for assessing language. Participants who had a 1st degree K-SLP certification were more likely to conduct LSA than those with a 2nd degree K-SLP certification. Most of the participants who responded that they conducted LSA reported that they analyzed less than 10 samples over the last year. The main reason for not conducting LSA was that it was too time-consuming. Most of the participants had no experience using computer assistance for LSA; however, they said they would use it if possible and hoped to participate in advanced LSA education and training. Conclusion: The results demonstrated that most SLPs did not conduct LSA, and the main reason for not conducting it was that it is too time-consuming. Based on the results of the study, we discussed ways to improve conducting LSA.
