三韓時期 鑄造鐵斧의 流通樣相에 대한 檢討

국문 초록

본고는 삼한시기 주조철부의 유통양상을 살펴보고자 하는 목적에서 작성된 것이다. 주조철부는 공부의 형태를 기준으로 장방형부와 제형부, 육각형부로 분류되는데, 다시 평연형태와 돌·철대의 유무 등에 따라 8개의 형식으로 세분된다. 각 형식의 분포범위와 부장양상, 시간축 등을 검토한 다음 이를 종합하여 주조철부의 변화상을 파악해 보면 4단계(Ⅰ∼Ⅳ기)로 구분할 수 있다. 이러한 변화상과 분묘출토품 해석을 위한 전제조건을 바탕으로 하여 주조철부의 유통양상에 대해 살펴보았다. 유통양상도 4단계로 구분되는데, 유통Ⅰ기는 BC 2세기로 금강유역권에 주조철부가 유입되어 유통되는 단계이다. 유통Ⅱ 기는 BC 1세기 전·중엽으로 금강유역권에서 주조철부가 소멸하고 영남지역인 대구에서 주조철부의 유입·유통되는 단계이다. 유통Ⅲ 기는 BC 1세기 후엽에서 2세기 전엽까지로, 재지에서 주조철부의 제작이 활발히 진행되는 단계이다. 유통의 중심지는 대구인데 이 단계는 유통범위가 확대(경산, 경주, 김해)되는 것이 특징이다. 유통Ⅳ기는 2세기 중엽에서 3세기까지로, 유통의 중심지는 경주와 그 주변지역이다. 이 단계에는 유통 중심지의 변화와 유통범위가 보다 확대되는 것이 특징이다. 이 같은 유통양상을 기초로 재지에서 철생산이 개시된 시점과 당시의 교역형태에 대해 살펴보았다. 주조철부의 유통양상을 통해서 볼 때 유통Ⅲ기(BC 1세기 후엽)부터 중남부지역에서 철생산이 개시된 것으로 판단되는데, 이러한 사실은 판상철부를 통해서도 뒷받침된다. 그리고 주조철부의 제작이 처음으로 이루어진 곳은 당시 교역의 중심지로, 이러한 양상을 통해 삼한시기의 교역은 물자를 비롯한 여러 가지 기술과 행정체계 등을 입수하는 역할을 수행하였다는 사실과 당시 정치체의 성장에 교역이 중요한 역할을 담당하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 주조철부의 유통범위 확대가 지리적으로 가까운 곳부터 진행되는 것이 아니라는 점에서, 삼한 소국 사이의 교역은 국읍의 중심촌끼리 이루어졌을 것으로 추정된다.

영문 초록

This paper is drawn up with the object of examining the circulation aspect of Cast-iron axe(鑄造鐵斧)in Three-han period(三韓時期). Cast-iron axe is classified into three group(rectangular axe(長方形斧), hexagonal axe(六角形斧) and trapezoid axe(梯形斧) by the shape of socket and divided into eight type by the shape of plane and the existence of doldae(突帶) and cheoldae(凸帶). After investigating distribution, burial aspect and chronic axis(時間輪) of each type, I settle the changing stage(Ⅰ∼Ⅳ) of Cast-iron axe. On the basis of changing stage and precondition. I examine the circulation aspect of Cast-iron axe. That is separated into four stage(The first stage of circulation aspect of Cast-iron axe : BC 2C. Cast-iron axe was inflowed and circulated in the valley of Geum-river(錦江). The second stage : the early and middle part of BC 1C. Cast-iron axe disappeared in the valley of Geum-river and was inflowed and circulated in Daegu(大邱) region. The third stage : from the latter part of BC 1C to the early part of AD 2C. Cast-iron axe was made in the Youngnam region actively. The center of circulation was Daegu and the circulation boundary of Cast-iron axe was extended to Kyungsan(慶山), Kyungju(慶州) and Gimhae(金海). The forth stage : frome the middle part of 2C to the latter part of 3C. The center of circulation is Kyungju and its outskirts(Pohang(浦項), Ulsan(蔚山), and the circulation boundary of Cast-iron axe was more extended. On the basis of the circulation aspect. I investigate the beginning time of iron production in Youngnam region and trade and trade aspect in Three-Han period. The beginning time of iron production in Youngnam region was the latter part of BC 1C, which is endorsed by the existence of board axe(板狀鐵斧). Because The place where the production of Cast-iron axe was begun was the center of trade. I think that trade in Three-Han period carried out the role of inflowing goods, technique and political system and growing potical group. From the extension of circulation boundary of Cast-iron axe, I think that trade between the so-kuk(小國) of Three-Han was performed by the central village(中心村)of kuk-eup(國邑).
