국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 요르단의 제3 도시인 자르카에 위치한 하시미야국립대학교의 교양 한국어 실태를 살펴보고, 요구 기초 조사 분석 결과를 토대로 교양 한국어 발전 방향을 모색하는 것이다. 먼저, 2019년 여름 학기부터 시작된 한국어 강좌는 꾸준히 발전하고 있다. 요구 기초 조사를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국어에 대한 최초 관심 요인은 한국 영화나 드라마와 같은 한류이며(90%), 수강 동기도 동일하다(51.6%). 그러나 한국어 목표는 높고(64.5%), ‘한국어 2’ 수강 의지 또한 적지 않아(48.3%) 좀 더 한국어 수요에 대해 부응할 필요성이 제기된다. 둘째, 학생들이 어려워하는 부분은 문법이고(35.5%), 문화 내용에 대한 요구가 있다(51.6%). 문법에 대한 쉬운 설명과 문법 이해에 대한 중간 평가를 통한 보완의 필요성이 제기되었다. 문화 내용도 학생들이 실제로 요구하는 문화 영역에 대한 수요 조사와 수업 활용에의 필요성이 제기되었다. 셋째, 학생들은 영어 능력과 한국어 학습과의 관계에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다(58.1%). 또한, 관련된 선행 연구 결과에서 L1, L2, L3 간 상관관계 중 L2 → L3의 관계가 긍정적이어서, 하시미야국립대학교 교양 한국어 학습자 특성인 다중 언어 학습자 변인의 교육적 적용에의 필요성도 제기되었다. 마지막으로, 한국 기업에 대한 호감은 있으나(64.5%), 한국어 능력과 취업에 대한 기대 인식은 부정적이다(60.3%). 한국 기업과 정부 차원의 적극적인 장학금 지원, 한국 연수 및 취업 기회 확대, 기업의 현지인 채용 시 한국어 능력자 입사 혜택 등은 한국어(학)의 수요를 견인할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the current state of Korean as an elective course at The Hashemite University in Zarqa, Jordan s third city, and to explore the direction of the Korean development of Korean based on the results of the basic needs survey. First of all, Korean language courses, which began in the summer semester of 2019, are steadily developing. As a result of analyzing the basic needs survey is like below. First, the first factor of interest in Korean is the Korean Wave(90%) such as Korean movies and dramas, and the motivation for taking the course is the same (51.6%). However, the goal of Korean language is high (64.5%) and the willingness to take Korean 2 is not little(48.3%), so the need to meet the Korean demand is arisen. Second, grammar is what students find difficult(35.5%) and there is a demand for cultural content(51.6%). The need for supplementation through an easy explanation of grammar and middle evaluation of grammar comprehension was raised. On cultural content, the needs survey for cultural areas that students actually want and the need for applying to class have arisen. Third, students were positively aware of the relationship between English proficiency and Korean language learning(58.1%). In addition, the related previous research results were positive in L2 → L3 relation among the correlations of L1, L2, and L3, so the need for the educational application of multilingual learner variables, a characteristic of Korean learner at Hashemite University, was raised. Finally, there is a favorable impression of Korean companies(64.5%), but the awareness of Korean language proficiency and employment expectation is negative(60.3%). Active scholarship support at the Korean enterprises and government level, expansion of training in Korea and employment opportunities, and benefits for Korean proficient applicants when hiring local people will drive demand for Korean language(studies).
