국문 초록

급속히 퍼져가는 세계화와 빠른 기술의 발전으로 인해 조직은 기업의 사회적 책임 (CSR) 관행에 특히 관심을 가진 이해 관계자와 점점 더 복잡한 문제에 직면하고 있다. 따라서 이해 관계자와 기업의 관리자 모두 사회적 책임 관행이 사업운영 및 사회에 미치는 영향에 대하여 이해할 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 기업들이 사회적 책임에 관한 규정인 ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 26000 지침을 채택한다면 공급사슬망을 지속해서 잘 관리하고 따라서 경쟁우위를 강화할 수 있는지 구조적 방정식 모델 (SEM)을 사용하여 경험적으로 조사하였다. 온라인 설문조사 도구인 서베이멍키를 사용하여 설문조사를 하였고 미국 내 제조 및 서비스 업체 262군데의 회사로부터 자료를 수집했다. 이 연구 결과에 따르면 기업이 사회적 책임 (CSR) 지침을 성공적으로 채택하면 지속 가능한 공급망 관리 및 공정의 효율성, 동적 기능 및 혁신을 포함한 회사의 경쟁우위를 향상시킬 수 있다.

영문 초록

In the wake of increased globalization and rapid technological advancement, organizations are facing increasingly complex problems with their stakeholders, who are particularly concerned about the corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices in their business. Therefore, both stakeholders and business managers are interested in understanding what impacts CSR practices have on managing a business and society. This study empirically examines if firms can better manage sustainability of their supply chains and enhance competitive advantage through the implementation of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 26000 guideline by using the structural equation model (SEM). A questionnaire-based survey was conducted via Survey Monkey and the data was collected from 262 respondents in U.S. based manufacturing and service firms. The results of this study show that successfully implementing CSR guidelines can improve sustainable supply chain management and firm’s competitive advantage including process efficiency, dynamic capabilities, and innovation.
