국문 초록

유전체 연구는 과거 서열을 밝히는 구조유전체(structural genomics)의 시대를 떠나 기능유전체(functional genomics)의 시대로 접어들고 있다. 본 연구에서는 생명정보학의 여러 연구 분야 중 cDNA microarray chip의 설계 과정과 여기서 등장하는 여러 통계적 방법들을 간략히 소개하고자 한다. 사실 DNA microarray에 대한 통계적 분석에 대해 최근 다양한 연구가 폭발적으로 쏟아지고 있는 현실이며 이에 대한 소개 역시 많이 다루어져 왔다고 하겠다. 하지만 본 연구에서는 DNA microarray에 대한 이해를 생물학적 측면과 더불어 DNA microarray 자료에 대한 통계적 분석 방향을 소개하고 고찰하는데 목적을 두고자 한다. 특히 이재원(2002)과 Smyth et al.(2002) 등에 나타나는 여러 통계적 쟁점들을 소개하여 기능유전체학에서 통계학의 역할을 이해하는데 의의를 두고자 한다.

영문 초록

Recent attempts to account for genome project have focused on the functional genomics to pass by structural genomics. Microarray technology has as importance position with functional genomics. DNA microarray technologies allow investigators to measure the expression of thousands of genes simultaneously. A revolutionary biological technology have been introduced and a lot of papers have been published to deal with microarray expression data. In this paper, we review the papers on DNA microarray and tutorials to DNA microarray experiment, to provide some of the relevant biological aspects and statistical methods involved in cDNA microarray expression data.
