국문 초록

이 글에서는 강세황의 ｢칠탄정십육경도｣ 그림과 이현환의 ｢칠탄정십육경｣ 시를 비교하여 화면상의 풍경과 시적 풍경이 어떠한 관계 양상들을 보이며 또 그러한 양상들이 어떤 의미를 내포하고 있는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 그럼으로써 화면상의 풍경이 언어를 통해 시적 풍경으로 재산출될 때 시적 변형이 왜 그리고 어떻게 발생하는지를 규명하였다. 화면상의 풍경과 시적 풍경의 관계 양상은 시적 풍경을 이루는 요소들이 화면상의 풍경에서 확인될 수 있는지 그리고 확인될 수 있다면 그 요소들이 어느 정도 되는지에 따라 다음과 같은 세 가지 유형으로 추출할 수 있다. 즉 부각 관계, 보완 관계, 대체 관계가 바로 그것이다. 이현환의 ｢칠탄정십육경｣ 시 16수는 모두 화면상의 풍경을 언어를 통해 시적 풍경으로 재산출한 시이다. 이 중에서 시적 풍경이 화면상의 풍경과 보완 관계를 보이는 시는 모두 12수이고, 시적 풍경이 화면상의 풍경과 대체 관계를 보이는 시는 모두 4수이다. 시적 풍경이 화면상의 풍경과 부각 관계를 보이는 시는 없다. 화면상의 풍경이 언어를 통해 시적 풍경으로 재산출될 때 시적 변형이 발생하는 것은 다음과 같은 두 가지 요인 때문이다. 그림의 표제에 대한 화가와 시인의 상이한 관점과 표현 매체로서 그림과 시의 상이한 속성이 바로 그것이다. 이 두 가지 요인이 개별적으로 작용한 것도 있고 복합적으로 작용한 것도 있다. 이 글에서는 그림과 시를 비교 분석함으로써 각 시에서 발생되는 시적 변형 양상을 구체적으로 살펴보았다.

영문 초록

In this paper, aspects of the relation between poetic scenes and pictorial scenes are studied by comparing Kang Se-hwang s Chil Tan Pavilion sixteen pictures(七灘亭十六景圖) and Lee Hyun-hwan’s Chil Tan Pavilion sixteen poems(七灘亭十六景詩) . The three aspects of the relation are as follows: the highlighting relation, the supplementing relation, and the replacing relation. Of the sixteen poems Lee Hyun-hwan’s Chil Tan Pavilion sixteen poems , in which the poetic scene is depicted from the pictorial scene, twelve poems exhibit the supplementing relation between poetic scene and pictorial scene, and four poems exhibit the replacing relation between poetic scene and pictorial scene. No poem exhibits the highlighting relation between poetic scene and pictorial scene. Poetic variation occurs when the poetic scene is depicted from the pictorial scene because of two factors: The different perspectives of the artist and poet on the title of the painting, and the different properties of painting and poetry as a medium of expression. Some of these two factors worked individually and others combined. In this paper, we looked specifically at the poetic variation that occurs in each poem by comparing the paintings and poems.
