국문 초록

1990년대 초는 硏究振作된 Orientalism의 논의가 활발한 시기였다. orient의 의미는 ‘해뜨는 동쪽’으로 그 기준은 서양이자, 판단기준의 orient는 인도 및 중국이 아닌 Islam권역이었다. 사실, 주체는 서양인의 입장에서 주목한 동양사상이다. 2500여 년 전 공자로부터 시작된 유교는 자본주의의 경제성장에 긍정성 및 부정성, 순기능 및 역기능을 지니고 우리에게 다가왔다. 한국의 1997년 국제통화기금(IMF) 파산선고는 유교를 자본주의 발전의 장애물로 평가절하하기도 했다. 이 평가절하는 ‘도덕적 해이’(Moral Hazard), ‘패거리 자본주의’(Crony Capitalism)라는 극단적인 비판이기도 했다. 공자와 유교자본주의의 순기능은 근면과 검소, 겸손이다. 사실, 이러한 진면목은 유교의 가족주의 및 공동체에서 시작된다. 본 논고의 차제는 問題提起/ 동아시아 유학의 흐름과 과제/ 동아시아 儒學 硏究의 現況 및 展望이다. 한․중․일 및 동아시아의 학술적 관심은 국제한국학의 관심 및 발전으로 그 구체적인 사례가 전 세계 수많은 대학에서 실시되는 한국어 교육과 더불어 ‘한국학과’ 및 ‘한국학연구센터’의 연구중심 연구기관의 설치 및 운영현황으로 알 수 있다. 이제 학제적·통합적 연구·교육을 통한 한반도와 동아시아 지역의 전문적 인재를 육성함으로써 <국제한국학 및 동아시아 전문가> 양성에 진력할 때이다. 이러한 연구 과제를 달성하기 위해서는 협의적·광의적으로, 무엇보다 21세기 시대의 변화, 특히 대학의 변화와 구조적 개혁이 요청된다.

영문 초록

In the early 1990, discussion over Orientalism, was activated. The meaning of orient is ‘the east of sunrise’, the basic point was the west, and the orient of determination was Islam area, not India or China. As a matter of fact, the subject was oriental idea that the western people paid attention to. Confucianism that began from Confucius 2,500 years ago came to us with positivity and negativity toward the economic growth of capitalism, as well as proper function and adverse function. IMF declaration of bankruptcy onto Korea in 1997 devaluated Confucianism as an obstacle to the development of capitalism. Such devaluation was an extreme criticism, ‘Moral Hazard’, ‘Crony Capitalism’. Proper function of Confucius and Confucian capitalism is diligence, simplicity, and modesty. In fact, such true aspects began from familism and community of Confucianism. Follow up study of the researcher will be problem presentation/ The Stream and Tasks Related to East Asian Confucianism/ The Actual State and Prospect of East Asian Confucianism. Academic interest in Korea․ China․ Japan and East Asia is the interest and development of international Koreanology, the concrete case can be determined by the installation and operational state of research-oriented research institute of ‘Koreanology department’ and ‘Koreanology research center’ along with education of Korean language conducted in lots of universities of the world. Here, the researcher considers that this era is a period to concentrate on training by educating professional personnel of the Korean Peninsula and East Asia through academic· integrated research· education. To achieve such research matter, narrow· broad change of the 21stcentury, particularly, change of university and structural reformation is required.
