국문 초록

본 논문은 조선기독교도련맹이 발행한 『성경전서』(1983; 1990; 2010. 이하 북한어 『성경』)의 공동서신 부분을 분석 및 평가하는 논문이다. 북한어 『성경』은 남한의 『공동번역 성서』(1977. 이하 『공동』)를 수정하여 제작된 것이다. 이 때문에 이 둘을 8가지 비교 원칙들(고유명사의 변경, 맞춤법상의 교정, 어휘 변경, 대우법 조정, 문장 전체 교정, 편집상의 교정, 교정되지 못한 곳, 유사문미 탈락)로 비교 연구한 민영진은 북한어 『성경』을 “『공동번역 성서』 평양 교정본”이라고 이름 붙였다. 그러나 민영진의 결론은 선별된 자료에 기초한 것이기에 북한어 『성경』 본문의 상태를 제한적으로만 진술할 수 밖에 없었다. 게다가 『공동번역 성서 개정판』(1999, 이하 『공동개정』)과 Novum Testamentum Graece, 28th edition(2012, 이하 NA28) 및 Greek New Testament, 5th edition(2014, 이하 UBS5)과 같은 새로운 헬라어 비평본의 출판은 북한어 『성경』의 개정을 요구하고 있다. 추가적으로 논문에서 진행된 북한어 『성경』 공동서신 전체 분석(제2장과 부록을 참조하라)을 통해 살펴볼 때 북한어 『성경』은 『공동개정』이나 『공동개정』에는 반영되지 않은 최신 헬라어 비평본인 NA28 및 UBS5의 변화들을 본문 비평학적으로(예. 유 5), 절 구분에 있어서(예. 벧전 1:24) 그리고 번역 상태에 있어서(예. 요일 5:9b)도 개정되어야 함을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This article tries to analytically evaluate on the Catholic Letters in North Korean Bible(the NK Bible, 1983; revised in 1990; reprinted 2010) of Korean Christian Federation. The initial form of NK Bible has been produced through adapting The Common Translation(CT, 1977) of South Korea. Dr. Young Jin Min called the NK Bible a “Pyeongyang Recension of The Common Translation”after having compared the NK Bible with CT in terms of eight principles, i.e. changes of proper names, changes of orthography, changes in vocabularies, changes in honorific style, changes in editing marks, some non-corrected errors and homoioteleuta. However, due to the selected sample size Dr. Min’s conclusion was limitative to reveal the text condition of the NK Bible, at least one part of Bible such as the Catholic Letters. In addition, both the publication of The Common (Revised) Translation(CRT) in 1999 and the emergence of the new critical editions of Greek New Testament such as Novum Testamentum Graece, 28th edition(2012) and Greek New Testament, 5th edition(2014) demand another revision of the NK Bible. Additionally, our analysis of the whole Catholic Letters(see chap. 2 and appendix) shows that the NK Bible should be revised in terms of textual criticism(e.g. Jude 5), verse dividing(e.g. 1 Pet. 1:24), translation(1 John 5:9b) based on the changes made in the CRT and in NA28/UBS5, the newest critical text which was not reflected in the CRT.
