국문 초록

현재 급격히 진전된 세계화의 흐름에 발맞춰 차세대 글로벌 인재 양성을 위한 교육제도 운영의 효율성을 높이는 데 많은 나라가 선진 교육프로그램을 자국 교육현장에 적극적으로 반영하고 있다. 본 연구는 최근 교육 혁신과 교육과정 재구성 대책으로 주목받고 있는 국제표준 교육과정(International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, 이하 IBDP)의 실행 사례 분석을 통해 공교육체제의 IBDP 운영과 발전에 주는 실질적 시사점을 탐색하는 데 주요 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌 자료 분석을 토대로 카자흐스탄 국립학교 IBDP 교육에 참여한 교원, 학생을 대상으로 면담 조사를 시행하였다. 조사 결과, IBDP 실행을 위한 단위학교 차원의 행·재정적 지원, 학습자 중심의 통합교육과정 편성, 학생들의 요구를 고려한 교육과정 운영 및 학생 관리, IB학교 간의 교수-학습 경험 공유와 컨설팅 형식의 협력체제 구축 등의 특징이 확인되었다. 한편 높은 수준의 교육 난이도와 학습량 증가, 카자흐스탄 대학입시제도와의 연계 미비, 학사 운영의 어려움과 교사들의 전문성 부족 등의 문제점도 여전히 쟁점화되고 있었다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme(IBDP) implementation in the Kazakhstan national education system and to explore practical implications for its improvement. The interpretation of the results is based on the analysis of the literary data and interviews with IBDP teachers and students. According to the interviews results, administrative and financial support for IBDP implementation, integration curriculum based on learners, operation of curriculum considering students needs and management etc. characteristic was confirmed. However, it was confirmed that there were problems such as high level of education difficulty and increased workload, inadequacy of connection with the university entrance examination system in Kazakhstan, difficulties in program operating were still on the agenda. This study conducted an in-depth analysis of the implementation of IBDP in Kazakhstan and reached the following solutions: there was given the possibility of the introduction of IBDP to the public education system in the future.
