길거리 음식 선택속성 중요도와 만족도 분석

국문 초록

최근 외래 관광객은 식도락관광과 같은 체험 관광동향 선호를 보이고 있다. 하지만 해외관광객을 대상으로 한 국내 길거리 음식 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 중요도-성취도 분석(IPA)을 활용하여 방한 외래 개별관광객이 길거리 음식을 선택할 때 어떤 속성들을 중요하게 고려하는지와 길거리 음식 운영자들이 이들 개별관광객의 선택 속성을 얼마나 만족시켰는지에 대해 분석하였다. 이와 더불어 본 연구는 응답자를 출신 지역별(중국, 아시아(중국 제외), 남북미, 유럽)로 나누어 이들 네 그룹의 길거리 음식 선택속성의 IPA를 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 길거리 음식 속성의 중요도와 만족도에서는 맛, 위생, 문화체험, 접근성의 평균값이 높게 나타난 반면 가격, 영양, 포장 상태 등은 낮게 나타났다. IPA 분석결과에 따르면 서로 다른 속성들이 각각 네 개의 사분면에 위치한 것으로 나타났다. 전체 표본의 경우 중점개선 사항으로는 위생 속성이 나타났다. 응답자들을 출신 지역별로 나눠 분석한 결과에서는 중국을 제외한 모든 지역별 개별관광객의 경우 중점개선사항으로 위생이 나타났지만 중국인에서는 메뉴 다양성이 중점개선사항으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 분석결과의 학문적, 실무적 시사점과 향후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, foreign tourists have shown preference for experience tour such as gourmet tourism. However little research has been conducted on domestic street food targeting FITs(Foreign Independent Travelers). Using importance-performance analysis(IPA), this study analyzed what selection attributes FITs visiting Korea considered in choosing street food and how much the street food operators satisfied them with those attributes. Furthermore, based on the region respondents came from(China, Asia excluding China, South & North America, Europe), this study carried out IPA of selection attributes among four groups. The results of the study showed that in the importance and satisfaction of street food attributes, the mean value of taste, hygiene, cultural experience, and accessibility was high, while price, nutrition, and state of packing were low. IPA showed that different attributes were located in four different quadrants. Sanitation was appeared in key improvement area for the entire samples. When analyzed respondents divided by region they came from, in all FITs except Chinese, sanitation was appeared to be the key improvement area whereas menu variety appeared in Chinese. This study discussed the academic and practical implications of the results and future research directions.
