부산지역 청소년 자살의 실태분석 및 제언

국문 초록

청소년 자살은 청소년이나 피해 가족만의 문제가 아니라, 가족이나 학교 또는 사회 환경이 청소년 자살에 직․간접의 영향을 주는 사회적 문제이기 때문에 더욱 심각하다. 또한 청소년 자살의 문제는 청소년 자신의 신체와 심리 및 행동발달에 장애를 줄 수 있으며 타인이나 사회에도 영향을 주는 경우가 많기 때문에 성인의 자살보다 더 많은 관심을 가지고 예방을 위한 대책 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 2011년부터 2014년까지 4년간 부산지역에서 발생한 자살자 중 만19세까지의 자살자를 유형별로 구분하여 분석을 하였다. 부산지방경찰청 관할의 15개 지역 경찰서에서 발생한 내용의 자살 통계를 경찰청 과학적범죄분석시스템(SCAS)을 활용하여 연구자가 분석을 통해 연구를 진행하였다. 청소년 자살자의 실태 분석은 연도별, 월별, 원인별, 방법별, 연령별, 경찰서별로 실시하였다. 분석 결과를 토대로 한 정책적 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정에서는 청소년 자녀와 긍정적 관계 유지 및 이상 행동 시에는 즉시 전문가의 도움을 받아야 한다. 둘째, 학교에서는 청소년들에게 자살에 대한 인식변화의 기회제공 및 부담 없이 방문할 수 있는 상담실이 배치되어야 한다. 셋째, 사회에서는 청소년들이 자살을 생각하게 하는 문제나 고민들을 상담하기 위해 연락을 하거나 방문을 하는데 어려움 없이 상담할 수 있는 기본적인 조직구성이 필요하다. 무엇보다 청소년들의 자살 요인에 대해 주변에서 적극적인 관심과 도움의 손길을 보내고 효과적인 방안을 마련한다면 청소년의 자살을 예방하는데 많은 영향을 줄 것이다.

영문 초록

Youth suicide is a serious problem since it affects both directly and indirectly the teens and their family as well as other families, schools and the society. The problem can also cause disability of the teens’ physical, psychological and behavioral development and therefore, needs more attention and researches for preventive measures. The study categorized and analysed the teens up to 19 years old who committed suicide during the period of four years from 2011 to 2014 in Busan area. The research is done based on the suicide statistics occurred in fifteen police district under Busan Metropolitan Police Agency using scientific crime analysis system (SCAS). The status analysis was conducted according to the year, month, cause, method, age and police station suicide occurred. Policy suggestions based on the study results are as follows. First, parents should keep positive relations with their teen children at home and if irrational behavior occurs immediate help from the expert is required. Second, teenagers at school should provide opportunities to bring changes in perceptions towards suicide. Counselling offices where students can visit without a burden of exposure should be run at each school. Third, organizations for teenagers to contact or visit without difficulty to discuss their personal problems causing suicidal attempt should be established. Most of all, if more attention and aggressive measures to help the teenagers in danger of committing suicide are provided, it will have impact on preventing youth suicide.
