영문 초록

This study analyzes the introduction of the energy storage system (ESS) and its industrial trends. Recently, the ESS market in Korea has grown to be a promising industry that is second only to the semiconductor industry. However, there has been an increase in the number of ESS fire accidents, and many specialized agencies have attempted to determine the cause of the fire. In this study, the basic structure of the energy storage device is investigated to analyze the causes of energy storage device fire. Furthermore, the related regulations and standards are presented, in addition to the issues that need to be revised from a basic point of view to reduce energy storage device fires.
