중년 여성이 지각하는 남편의 효의식과 결혼만족도간의 관계에서 갈등대처 행동의 매개 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 중년 여성이 지각하는 남편의 효의식이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 갈등대처행동의 매개 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 45~65세에 해당하는 중년 기혼여성 316명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계분석, Baron과 Kenny의 매개 효과검증, 부트스트랩 검증을 하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중년 여성이 지각하는 남편의 효의식 총점과 가족지향의 효의식, 그리고 행동지향의 효의식과 결혼만족도 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 부적 상관이 나타났지만, 정서지향의 효의식과 결혼만족도 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 상관이 없었다. 그리고 중년 여성이 지각하는 남편의 효의식 총점은 회피적 갈등대처행동 및 감정행동표출 갈등대처행동과, 가족지향의 효의식은 신앙의지 갈등대처행동, 회피적 갈등대처행동, 감정행동표출 갈등대처행동과 통계적으로 유의한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 중년 여성이 지각하는 남편의 정서지향의 효의식은 회피적 갈등대처행동과, 그리고 행동지향의 효의식은 감정행동표출 갈등대처행동 및 회피적 갈등대처행동과 통계적으로 유의한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중년 여성이 지각하는 남편의 효의식과 결혼만족도 간의 관계에서 갈등대처행동의 매개효과를 검증해 본 결과, 갈등대처행동 하위요인 중에서 회피적 갈등대처행동과 감정행동표출 갈등대처행동이 완전 또는 부분 매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과는 부권 중심의 가부장적 효의식으로 인한 갈등적 요소에 대하여 우리나라 중년 여성들이 더 적극적이고 효율적으로 대처할 수 있도록 돕는 부부 상담이나 교육프로그램 개발의 중요성을 시사하며, 중년 여성들의 부부갈등이나 결혼만족도를 높이기 위한 예방적 차원의 기초자료를 제공하였다는 부분에서 연구의 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to verify the mediation effect of conflict coping behavior on the impact of husband’s Hyo-consciousness perceived by middle-aged woman on martial satisfaction. To that end, 316 middle-aged married women aged between 45 and 65 were surveyed. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, Baron and Kenny’s mediator effect, and bootstrap verification using SPSS 18.0 program. The analysis results are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant negative correlation between the total score of husband’s Hyo-consciousness perceived by wife and the family-oriented Hyo-consciousness. The same was true on the relationship between the behavior-oriented Hyo-consciousness and marital satisfaction. On the other side, there was no correlation between emotion-oriented Hyo-consciousness and marital satisfaction. And the total score of Hyo-consciousness showed statistically positive correlation with avoidant conflict coping behavior and emotion-behavior expressive conflict coping behavior. The family-oriented Hyo-consciousness (perceived by wife) had positive correlation with religious, avoidant, emotion-behavior expressive conflict coping behaviors. The emotion-oriented Hyo-consciousness had positive correlation with avoidant conflict coping behavior, and the behavior-oriented Hyo-consciousness had it with emotion-behavior expressive and avoidant conflict coping behaviors. Second, as a result of verifying the mediation effect of conflict coping behavior on a relationship between husband’s Hyo-consciousness and martial satisfaction, among the sub-factors of conflict coping behavior, it had been found that avoidant conflict coping behavior and emotional behavior expression conflict coping behavior have a mediated effect. These results suggest the importance of martial counseling or educational program’s development which helps for middle-aged women to deal with conflict factor caused by paternal-centered and patriarch Hyo-consciousness more actively and efficiently. And they are meaningful in that they provided basic data on a preventive level to enhance martial satisfaction of middle-aged women.
