국문 초록

이 논문은 18세기 문인 柳匡天과 申命顯의 三角山 山水遊記를 통해 삼각산의 문화지형도 그리기와 지리공간의 담론화를 시도한 글이다. 이 글에서는 작품이 여정에 따라 전개되기 때문에 지리적으로 단락을 구분하여 표제어를 설정하고, 그 표제어를 중심으로 장소의 문화적 의미를 찾아 연결하는 방식으로 내용을 전개했다. 이는 18세기 지방 문인의 한양 삼각산에 대한 공간지각과 표상, 문화적 의미망 찾기로 연결되는 지리공간의 당론화 과정이다. 유광천의 「유삼각산기」와 신명현의 「유북한기」, 「유도봉기」는 산수유기의 전통을 충실히 따르면서도 부분적으로 작가의 의론과 시가 담겨져 미세한 감흥을 더했다. 또한 이들의 유람 기록에서는 문화공간으로서의 삼각산의 다양한 인식 층위를 확인 할 수 있었다. 18세기는 생활 속의 예술을 추구하는 분위기가 널리 확산되던 시기이다. 유광천과 신명현의 삼각산 산수유기는 18세기 문인 지식인의 지리적 정보에 대한 욕구는 물론 지역성에 대한 비교 품평과 산수유람 예술에 대한 점증하는 욕구를 수용하여 시대의 요구에 충실한 작품이라 할 수 있다. 아울러 독자들의 감동의 부피도 일정부분 담아내어 문예적 성과도 거둔 작품으로 평가 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This paper set out to make a cultural topographical map of Mr. Samgak and put its geographical spaces into discourse based on the travel journals left by Yu Gwang-cheon and Shin Myeong-hyeon, who were the literary figures in the 18th century, after traveling the mountain. Since their journals progressed according to their itinerary, the study divided paragraphs geographically and set entry words, with which to look for and connect the cultural meanings of places. It was a process of making discourse out of geographical spaces connected by the local literary figures’ spatial recognition of Mt. Samgak in Hanyang in the 18th century, representation, and search for a cultural semantic network. Yusamgaksangi by Yu Gwang-cheon and Yubukhangi and Yudobonggi by Shin Myeong-hyeon partially contained the authors’ discussions and poems to add minute inspirations while fully following the tradition of Sansuyugi. Their travel journals also confirmed the diverse consciousness layers of Mt. Samgak as a cultural space. In the 18th century, Joseon witnessed the spread of an atmosphere of pursuing art in life. The travel journals by Yu and Shin fully responded to the demands of the times, embracing the 18th-century literary intellectuals’ desire for geographical information and further their gradually incremental appetite for the comparison and evaluation of locality and the art of excursion to mountains and rivers. At the same time, they achieved a certain level of literary achievement by including the amount of movement the readers would have in some parts.
