아동과 예비교사의 동시 선호도 조사 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 시에 대한 긍정적인 정서와 태도가 시교육의 출발점이란 전제와 함께 학습자들이 좋아하는 시를 교사가 제시하는 것이 중요하다는 관점에 바탕을 두고 있다. 이로부터 초등학생 학습독자와 예비교사들을 대상으로 동시 작품의 텍스트 선호도와 그 평가의 준거를 조사 연구하고 자 하였다. 조사 결과, 예비교사와 아동들은 선호하는 시에 어느 정도의 차이는 있으나 대체로 일치하는 경향을 나타냈다. 해당 시에 대한 선호 근거를 통해 두 집단이 시에서 발견하는 특징과 반응 또한 유사성을 나타낸다는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 이 두 측면에서의 차이는 공감하는 경험의 차이, 초등학생과 예비교사의 문학능력, 국어능력의 차이, 시적 상황 에 대한 명료한 이해의 여부 등이 작용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 예비교사들은 독자 요인에 속하는 공감을 가장 중시하였고, 아동의 경우 흥미를 가장 중시하였다. 이 연구는 의미 있는 경험으로서의 시교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 교사가 좋은 동시를 선별하고 아동이 이를 향유할 수 있도록 제공하는 등 다양한 텍스트의 선정 작업이 중요한 과정임을 의미한다. 또한 이러한 접근 방식은 성취기준을 포괄하고 상회하는 빅 아이디어 수준에서 시교육을 바라볼 수 있게 해준다는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study begins with the premise that positive emotions and attitudes toward poetry are the starting point of poetry teaching. And it is based on the view that it is important for the teacher to present the poem that learners like. From this, we investigated the text preference and the evaluation criteria of the elementary school students and the preliminary teachers about the poetry for children. As a result of the study, pre-service teachers and children showed a tendency to agree with each other at some preference. Through the evaluation criteria for the poem, we found that the characteristics and reactions also showed similarity. The differences in these two aspects were found to be due to differences in empathic experience, elementary and pre-service literacy/literature competence and a clear understanding of poetic situations. And the pre-service teachers placed most emphasis on the empathy belonging to the reader’s factors. And interest was overwhelmingly in case of children. Of course, the interest was being used in a wide range of connotations, ranging from being fun to being impressed. In order to develop the poetry education that can be understood through this study, it is important for teachers to select and let the students appreciate good poetry texts through teacher’s efforts, to review poetry education on the level of big ideas that cover and exceed the achievement standards.
