영화 <옥자>에 대한 비판적 언어인식의 수업 비평 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 국어과 학습자가 비판적 언어인식을 함양할 수 있는 매체 수용의 학습 활동을 수업으로 실행하고 이에 대해 생태학적으로 비평하는 것이 목적이다. 또한 수업 실행의 비평적 환원을 통해 비판적 언어인 식 교육의 설계 방향을 제언하는 데까지 나아가고자 한다. 비판적 언어인식은 언어교육의 한 관점으로, 학습자로 하여금 언어가 세계를 표상하며 사회적 구조를 반영함을 알고 사회적 실천 행위로서의 언어 사용을 보다 타당하게 하려는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 영화 <옥자>를 활용한 수업 활동을 통해 학습자의 비판적 언어인식 능력이 함양될 수 있을 것으로 보고 수업을 설계하여 실행하였다. 이때 수업은 ‘평소 생각 확인 → 질문 생성 및 답변 마련 → 깨달은 점 정리’의 흐름으로 진행되었으며, ‘질문 생성 및 답변 마련’에 해당하는 <옥자>의 감독을 인터뷰하기 위한 질문을 생성하고 감독의 입장에서 답변을 마련하는 활동이 학습자의 비판적 언어인식 함양을 추동할 것으로 기대되었다. 일련의 과정을 관찰하고 기술하여 해석ㆍ평가함으로써 수업 활동을 경험한 학습자의 비판적 언어인식의 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 후 수업비평의 결과를 바탕으로, 비판적 언어인식 교육의 설계 방향을 ‘분야, 제재, 내용, 방법’의 순으로 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to implement learning activities of the media acceptance for cultivating critical language awareness of learners in Korean subject into a class and to criticize it ecologically. And it goes on to make discourses of a way of educational designs for critical language awareness education based on the critical reduction of this class implementation. Critical language awareness is a perspective of language education, it has an aim that learners could know the language presents the world and the structure of society and could use language as an act of the social practice more valuable. This study designs and practices class activities using the movie , because this kind of activities could make learners to help to cultivate the ability of critical language awareness. The class goes on a flow of “confirming usual thoughts → making and answering questions → arranging the realization”. Especially the “making and answering questions” step is expected to lead to cultivate learner’s critical language awareness with activities of making questions for interviewing the ’s director and of answering those questions as the director. This study could look at the changes of critical language awareness of learners who experience the class activities by observing, describing and interpreting, evaluating these process. After that, it gives discourses for the direction of the educational design for critical language awareness at categories of the educational “fields, materials, contents, and methods”.
