｢유(遊)｣ 개념을 통한 심미정서 표현 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 창작에 있어서 가장 기초적이고 기본적인 이념인 장자의 ʻ유(遊)ʼ 개념을 통한 심미적 감수를 미술교육으로 접목시켰다. 곧 장자의 소요유(逍遙遊)에 내재된 ʻ유ʼ의 개념을 적용하여 이 시대의 새로운 감각으로 어떻게 해석하고 표출하였는가를 탐구하는데 목적을 두었다. 더불어 장자의 ʻ유ʼ의 철학적 사유를 이해하고 ʻ유ʼ개념에 내재된 비움(心齋)의 미학이 작품창작과 어떠한 관계성이 있는가를 규명하기 위해 대학생 미술전공자를 대상으로 ʻ유ʼ 개념을 적용한 미술수업을 실행하였다. 이를 위해 ʻ유ʼ의 표현 도구로 공간개념이 강한 ʻ허(虛)와 실(實)ʼ, 방법적 특성이 강한 ʻ필(筆)과 묵(墨)ʼ, 내면의 경지를 강조한 ʻ사의(寫意)ʼ로 분별하여 ʻ유ʼ를 어떻게 해석하고 표현하였는가를 탐색하였다. 창작표현의 가장 기초가 되고 내적표현의 수단인 ʻ유ʼ는 자아를 비움(심재)으로서 심미정서의 자율성이 보장된 상태에서의 노닐음이며, 이들의 관계성은 대상이나 사물을 형상화시키는데 상호 불가분의 관계가 성립됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 학생들은 ʻ유ʼ의 개념과 그 속에 내재된 의의(심재)를 통하여 자기만의 세계를 가지고 자성과 통찰 등의 자각을 활성화시켰다. 또한 자아의 존재가치에 대한 긍정적 반응과 자기주도적 관점으로 명료화하여 다양하고 창의적 표현으로 표출하였음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 ʻ유ʼ는 심미정서의 자유로운 감성과 이성이 현대적 표현으로 새롭게 결합되고, 창의적이고 다각적 방식으로 표출되는 새로운 관점에서의 향방을 모색하는데 단초가 될 것이라 기대해 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study connects the aesthetic emotion with art education through the concept of ʻYuʼ of the Zhuangzi, which is the most basic and fundamental ideology in creation. In other words, the purpose of this study is to research how the concept of ʻYuʼ, which is inherent in the Zhuangzi s Free and Soyoyu, is applied to inter0pret and express the new emotions of this era. In addition, a art class with the concept of ʻYuʼ applied was practiced for art majors in college in order to understand the philosophical reason of ʻYuʼ of the Zhuangzi and to find out the relation between the aesthetics of Simjae inherent in the concept of ʻYuʼ and creation of work. This study researched how ʻYuʼ is interpreted and expressed by classifying the expression devices of ʻYuʼ into ʻHeo and Shi that has strong spatial idea, ʻPil and Mukʼ that has strong characteristics of methods, and ʻSauiʼ that emphasizes inner stage. It was identified that ʻYuʼ, which is the most basic concept and the means of inner expression, is the act of strolling in the state that the freedom of aesthetic emotions are guaranteed by emptying ego, and the relation is indivisible in forming targets or objects. The students activated self-awareness such as self-reflection and insight with their own world through the concept of ʻYuʼ and the intrinsic meanings(spirituality) in it. They also displayed various creative expressions by clarifying them with positive responses on the existence value of ego and the self-initiated perspectives. Therefore, ʻYuʼ is expected to function as a foundation to combine new emotions and rationality in the modern expression and to seek directions of new perspectives of expressing in creative and multilateral ways.
