국문 초록

외식프랜차이즈 업체를 대상으로 한 경영학적 관점의 국제경영 프로세스 연구의 필요성 아래 본 논문은 파리바게뜨와 본촌을 비교분석하여 두 기업의 상이한 국제화 과정과 국제화 성공요인을 도출해 보고자 하였다. 파리바게뜨는 점진적 국제화 과정으로, 본촌은 국제신생벤처의 국제화과정으로 국제화에 성공했으며, 두 기업 모두 타기업과 차별화할 수 있는 독점적 역량이 있었고, 지역에 맞는 현지화 과정으로 통해 국제화에 성공하였다. 파리바게뜨는 국내시장에서 확보한 시장선도능력 , 품질관리능력, 자본력과 점진적 국제화를 통한 국제화에 대한 노하우가 본촌은 국제신생벤처로서의 도전정신으로 대표되는 기업가 역량과 제품 역량이 두 기업의 독점적 역량으로 설명할 수 있다. 상이한 국제화 프로세스와 상이한 독점적 역량이 있는 두 기업의 사례비교분석을 통하여, 외식기업에서 국제화 관련 이론적 시사점을 도출할 수 있고, 한식의 세계화 관련 이를 준비하고 있는 다양한 기업들에게 실무적 시사점을 제시할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study tries to explain the different internationalization process and the success factors of internationalization by comparing Paris Baguette and Bonchon. Paris Baguette has been globalized following the gradual internationalization process theory, Bonchon globally succeeded following international new venture theory. Both companies have the comparative advantage to differentiate themselves from other companies. Paris Baguette showed its own comparative advantage in its market leadership, quality management ability, capital strength, the know-how from gradual internationalization and the competence in localization products. Bonchon also show its comparative advantage in risk-taking and challenging attitude and the competence in products. Through the comparative analysis of two companies, this study can derive theoretical implications for internationalization of food service industry and provide practical implications for various companies preparing for globalization.
