국문 초록

2002년을 전후해서 우리 학계에 새로운 열풍이었던 것이 글로벌 히스토리에 관한 담론이다. 이러한 열풍은 학회의 결성이라는 결과로 이어졌고 많은 논의와 성과를 냈다. 이론적 논의는 글로벌 히스토리를 한국에 소개하는데 큰 역할을 하였고 그와 함께 이와 관련된 많은 외국의 연구서가 번역되기도 하였다. 국내에서는 글로벌 히스토리의 용어의 정의와 의미, 특징에 대해 다양한 논의를 통해 어느 정도 글로벌 히스토리가 지향하는 점에 대해서는 합의를 보았다. 즉, 연구자들은 ‘세계사’, ‘새로운 세계사’, ‘지구 규모의 역사’, ‘글로벌 역사’, ‘글로벌 히스토리’, ‘지구사’, ‘글로벌 히스토리’, ‘글로벌 역사’, ‘전 지구적 역사’ 등 다양한 용어로 사용하였다. 연구자들 간에 용어 사용의 통일은 합의를 이끌어내지 못하였으나 글로벌 히스토리가 지향하는 방향에서는 어느 정도 합의를 이루었다. 먼저 대부분의 연구자들은 서유럽 중심주의의 담론에서 벗어나려고 하는 노력의 시각과 방법론으로 간주하였다는 것이다. 다음으로 지구를 단일한 연구대상으로 삼고 근대이전의 세계에도 관심을 가졌고 현재 진행되고 있는 세계화와 밀접한 관련성 속에서 세계를 파악하고 이해하려고 한다는 것이다. 또한 자연을 역사연구 대상의 주요한 위치에 설정하고 이해하려고 하였다. 한국 연구자들의 이러한 글로벌 히스토리에 대한 위와 같은 이론적 이해와 현실적으로 구체적 성과물은 그렇게 많지 않다. 김원수 교수와 육영수가 교수가 글로벌한 시각에서 한국사를 재조명하려고 하였다는 것이다. 역사교육 분야에서 강선주 교수가 세계사 교육의 주요한 대안으로 ‘상호관련성의 원리’를 강조하면서 우리 역사를 세계사적 틀에서 이해되어야 한다고 하였다. 글로벌 히스토리가 이론적 구성이나 틀이 아직 구체적이지 못한 것이 현실이다. 특히 우리 학계에서는 이론적인 논의에 거치고 구체적 연구가 이루지지 못한 것도 현실이다. 그러나 세계를 또 다른 시각에서 이해, 해석함으로써 보다 세계의 전체적인 상을 만들 수 있지 않을까 한다.

영문 초록

Before and after 2002, it was the New scholasticism in our academic discourse on global history. This New scholasticism has found a lot of discussion of the results and achievements led to the formation of the Society. Theoretical discussion was introduced by a large role in the global history in Korea and was also translated into many foreign books. In Korea, I saw agreement on a certain point of global history is oriented through various discussion of the definition and meaning of the term feature of global history. Unification of the terminology used among researchers does not to lead the way to a global agreement in history has achieved a certain degree of consensus-oriented. First, most researchers considered the vision and methodology of trying to get away from the discourse of Western Europe will be the center of attention. Then we will make it a single global study pre-modern world interested in trying to identify and understand the world in a closely related with the ongoing globalization. Also it tries to set a prime position to understand the nature of historical study This theoretical understanding and practical concrete achievements above about the global history of Korea, researchers are not so much. Professor Kim, Won-soo and Professor Yook, Young-soo were trying to refocus the Korean history from a global perspective by the professors. While Professor Kang, Seon-ju in history education emphasized the principle of mutual relevance of world history as a major alternative education, we must understand the history in the framework of world history. Global history is the theoretical framework and the framework is not yet concrete reality. In particular, considering our academic reality, nothing could be achieved undergoing specific research on the theoretical discussion. However, to understand the world from another perspective, it would not be more than creating a whole image by interpreting the world.
