국문 초록

이사야서의 연구사는 이사야 예언서가 각기 다른 시기에 집필된 세 권의 책(이사 1-39; 40-55; 56-66)으로 구성되어 있다는 사실에 합의점을 두고 있다. 이에 따르면, 이사 40,1-11은 제2이사야서의 시작을 열어준다. 앞선 이사 1-39와는 명확한 단절을 지니며, 이사 40 이후에 전개되는 시작점을 이끌어주는 서곡의 역할을 이사 40,1-11은 수행한다. 단절의 양상은 역사적 배경의 단절, 예언서 구성상의 단절을 통해서 드러난다. 단절과 더불어 이사 40,1-11은 이사 1-39와 이사 40-66을 이어주는 교각역할도 수행한다. 40,1-11에 등장하는 등장인물과 그들의 행위에 대한 고찰은 제1이사야의 주제와 어휘가 어떻게 수용, 변형되었는지에 대한 이해가 가능하게 해준다. 아울러, 그러한 수용과 변화의 작업이 40-66장에서 어떻게 적용되는지에 대한 선 이해를 통해서, 이사야 예언서의 각기 독립된 세 권의 책이 한권의 책으로 이해될 수 있는 가능성을 제시해준다. 이사 40,1-11의 이러한 교각 역할은 앞선 제1이사야를 수용하고 변형하는 가운데 구체화 된다. 아모츠의 아들 이사야가 더 이상 등장하지 않는 40장 이후에, 예언자의 자리를 대신 하여 예언자적 화자인 “한 소리”가 등장하여 그 역할을 대신한다. 하느님 심판과 경고의 대상으로 제1이사야에 등장하는 이스라엘 백성은 하느님의 위로를 받는 “나의 백성”으로 불려진다. 이에 하느님은 “우리의 하느님”의 호칭을 통해서, 백성과의 계약 관계가 끝난 것이 아니라 유지됨을 보여준다. 이스라엘백성과 함께 이사 1-39에서 심판의 대상이면서 동시에 구원의 희망을 품은 도시 시온/예루살렘은 인격화(Personifizierung)된 존재로 등장하며, 하느님 구 원의 기쁜 소식을 알리는 선포자로서의 역할을 수행하도록 부르심을 받는다. 역사-비평 방법론에 의하면, 이사야 예언서는 각기 독립된 세 권의 책으로 구성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 하지만, 각기 다른 세 권의 책들이 이사야 예언서라는 이름으로 한 권의 책을 구성한다는 사실이 우연에 의한 것이 아니라, 의도적인 것이라면, 역사-비평 방법론은 왜 각각의 세 권의 다른 책들이 한 권의 책으로 묶여졌는지에 대한 근거를 제시하지 못한다. 이를 통해서, 이사야 연구사 안에서 역사-비평 연구 방법론에 입각한 고찰에서, 편집-비평 연구 방법론으로의 패러다임의 전환을 가져왔다. 편집-비평 연구 방법론은 독립된 세 권의 책을 한 권의 예언서로 묶어주는 최종 편집의 과정에 주목한다. 예언서의 최종 편집자는 세 권의 책을 한 권으로 묶기 위해서 주제와 어휘들의 단순 반복을 통해 한 권의 책을 묶어내는 데에 관심을 갖기보다, 이사 1-39에서 보여지는 주제와 어휘를 수용하고 변형시킴으로써, 40-66장에서 새롭게 전개될 신 학적 주제들의 밑바탕을 마련하였다. 편집-비평이라는 새로운 패러다임 속에서 이사 40,1-11의 역할은 단절과 새로운 시작만이 아닌, 연결과 연속이라는 새로운 기능을 수행할 수 있게 되었다.

영문 초록

The study on the Book of Isaiah reached an agreement that this Book is composed by 3 books (Isaiah 1-39; 40-55; 56-66), and is written by different period of time. According to this, Isaiah 40, 1-11 opens the 2nd part of the Book. The 2nd part is clearly disconnected from Isaiah 1-39 (the 1st Isaiah), and also takes a role of prelude to Isaiah 40. The aspect of disconnection is revealed through historical background and the prophetic book structure. Along with disconnection, Isaiah 40,1-11 also performed the bridge role connecting Isaiah 1-39 and Isaiah 40-46. The consideration to people and action in Isaiah 40,1-11 made possible to understand how the theme and word of the 1st Book of Isaiah has adopted and changed. And also through this pre-understanding of how such an adoption and change applied in chapter 40-66, Isaiah 40,1-11 shows the possibility which 3 independent book of Isaiah could be understood as to 1 Book of Isaiah. This role of bridge pier took concrete shape through adopting and changing the 1st Book of Isaiah. After chapter 40, Isaiah, son of Amoz, is no longer appeared, then on behalf of the prophet position, prophetic speaker ‘a voice’ appeared and replaced the role. The people of Israel who were the object of God’s judgment and warning in the 1st Book of Isaiah is now called as to ‘my people’, who are comforted by God. And here, God is shown as to ‘our God’ and the covenant was not ended but still preserved. Along with the people of Israel, city of Zion/Jerusalem where was the object of judgment and also hope of salvation in Isaiah 1-39, is appeared as to the personalized being, and is called to perform the role of proclaiming of the Good News, God’s salvation. According to history-criticism method, the Book of Isaiah was known as to 3 independent books. But if the fact that these 3 different books are to be composed in one Book was not by accident but on purpose, the history-criticism method could not suggest the foundation of 3 different books became 1 Book. Through this and under the base of history-criticism method, there was a paradigm change to editing-criticism method in Isaiah study. The editing-criticism method paid an attention to the final editing process of 3 independent books became 1 Book. The final editor of this prophetic book made to adopt and change the theme shown in Isaiah 1-39 rather than focused on simple repeat of theme and word, which made foundation of theological subject that would be newly developed in Chapter 40-66. Within this new paradigm of editing-criticism, Isaiah 40,1-11 could perform the new role of connection and continuation, not just disconnection and new chapter beginning.
