영문 초록

A cursory look at some of the definitions of job satisfaction offered in the literature provides a perspective on its complexity and diversity. Job satisfaction may be defined as a pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one’s job or job experiences. Two major approaches hold sway with regard to the conceptualization and definition of job satisfaction. The first approach provides more of a macro or global perspective, in which the concern is with general feelings about a job. Although job satisfaction itself is viewed as a multifaceted or composite phenomenon, the emphasis is on the global assessment or overall evaluation of job satisfaction. In contrast, the second approach emphasizes job facets. The extent to which an individual is satisfied with different aspects or facets of the job-for example, opportunities for advancement, salary, challenge-determines the degree of overall satisfaction. Overall job satisfaction becomes the sum of the expressed degree of satisfaction with different facets. A study on the job satisfaction and influence factors of the civil servants of community health center-focused on the community health center of four cities in Jellabukdo province-was designed in order to provide basic data with local or central administrator for making public policy in local or central level at first. Based on such limited characteristics among the general ones as sex, age, educational background, religion, and type of work, this paper analyzed the job satisfaction of community health center’s civil servants of four cities in Jellabukdo province.
