대학교육에서의 비교과교육 발전 방향에 대한 논의

국문 초록

이 연구는 비교과교육의 역사와 교과와의 관계, 교과와 차별화되는 그 특성 등을 살펴보고 이런 비교과교육이 대학교육에서 어떻게 자리 잡아 왔고 앞으로 어떻게 발전해야 하는지 논하고자 하였다. 비교과교육은 교과교육의 폐해 속에서 이를 극복하려는 의지에서 탄생하였고, 이 탄생 배경으로부터 교과교육과 차별화되는 특성이 발견된다. 그것은 ①비형식적 교육, ②학생 의 개별성 반영, ③전인적 성장, ④교과와 연계, ⑤체험, ⑥집단 구성, ⑦자발적 참여, ⑧사전사후 단계의 확보, ⑨융통적 운영, ⑩대안적 평가이다. 이러한 특성은 비교과교육이 운영됨에 있어 견지해야 할 기준이자 원리가 된다. 이러한 기준과 원리에 의거하여 대학에서의 비교과교육은 운영되어야 하고, 이를 위해서 학교의 전반적인 비교과교육을 관리할 수 있는 전문부서 신설이 필요하다. 이 전문부서는 기획운영성과관리활용으로 이어지는 비교과교육 진행 전반을 통합적으로 관리할 수 있다. 물론 이를 위해서는 전반적인 물적 인적 조건의 마련, 비교과교육에 대한 인식의 변화 등이 수반되어야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the history of outofclassroom activities, its relationship with the subject and the characteristics that distinguished from the subject, and to discuss how outofclassroom activities have been and will be developed in university education. Outofclassroom activities were born from the will to overcome the harmful effects of the subject education. The characteristics of outofclassroom activities are as follows. ①nonformal education, ②reflection of student s individuality, ③total growth, ④connection with the subject, ⑤experience, ⑥group composition, ⑦voluntary participation, ⑧securing of prepost stages, ⑨flexible operation, ⑩alternative evaluation. These characteristics are the criteria and principles that outof classroom activities must stand in operation. In the end, it is necessary to establish specialized departments that can manage the overall outofclassroom activities in the university. This special department can manage the entire out ofclassroom activities process leading to planning  operation  performance management  utilization. This, of course, is accompanied by a shift in overall physical and human conditions, and a change in perceptions of outofclassroom activities.
