국문 초록

본고는 추사체를 이해하기 위한 기초로서 추사의 서예관과 예술심미이상의 특성을 분석한 글이다. 추사는 翁方綱·阮元의 서예이론을 수용하되 재해석과 선택적 수용으로 그들과는 차별화된 독자적인 書派觀을 정립하였다. 완원의 <書派辨>에서 南派, 北派의 계통을 허물고 北派중심의 새로운 서파관을 구축한 것이다. 隸書, 北碑, 王羲之書를 한 계통으로 설정하고 遒勁·古拙·方正·雄强함이란 심미감을 부각시켰다. 그가 정립한 서파관은 實事求是 정신에는 부합하지 않지만, 그것이 추사의 自然天機的 본질에 의한 진솔한 선택이기 때문에 독창성으로 인정할 수밖에 없다. 한편 추사의 예술심미이상을 분석한 결과 學藝一致, 詩書畵 一體, 獨自的 書派觀을 중심으로 淸高古雅美, 神韻美, 古拙美, 奇怪美를 지향한 것으로 드러났다. ‘淸高古雅美’는 높은 지성과 인격적 미덕으로 文字香 書卷氣를 온축한 상태에서 나오는 심미의식으로, 藝는 道를 형상화한 것이라 보는 儒家精神을 상징한다. 神은 변화의 극으로서 만물에 신묘하게 작용하며 말로는 그 형태를 다 드러낼수 없는 것이다. 추사는 시서화에서 형상을 초월한 ‘神韻美’를 예술의 궁극적 경지로 보고 이를 추구하였다. ‘古拙美’란 尊古的 태도에서 비롯된 것으로, 추사는 ‘拙’ 을 ‘神妙’와 동일시하면서 古隸에서 감지되는 ‘古拙美’을 최고의 미로 인식하였다. 또한 자신의 自然天機的 본질에 따라 奇怪함을 書를 이루는 필수적 요소로 인식하고 ‘奇怪美’를 지향하였다. 결론적으로 추사가 정립한 독자적 서파관과 예술심미이상은 온축된 학문과 예술적 성향과 자연천기적 본질이 혼융된 결과로서 추사체의 기반이 된다.

영문 초록

This study is the writing that analyzed characteristics in Chusa(秋史) s calligraphy perspective and aesthetic appreciation ideal as the base for understanding Chusache(秋史體). Chusa(秋史) established the independent calligraphy faction standpoint, which is differentiated from them, with the re-interpretation and the selective acceptance while agreeing to the theory of calligraphy by Ong Bang-gang(翁方綱)·Wan Won(阮元). He implemented the new calligraphy faction standpoint(書派觀) of focusing on Bukpa(北派) with breaking the faction of Nampa(南派) and Bukpa(北派) in Wan Won(阮元) s . He created Yeseo(隸書), Bukbi(北碑) and Wanghuijiseo(王羲之書) as one faction and highlighted the esthetic sense dubbed Jugyeong(遒勁)·Gojol(古拙)·Bangjeong(方正)·Unggang(雄强). The calligraphy faction standpoint(書派觀) that he established does not correspond to the spirit of Silsagusi(實事求是), but cannot help being recognized as originality because it is the honest choice according to Chusa(秋史) s Jayeoncheongi(自然天機)-based essence. Meanwhile, as a result of analyzing Chusa(秋史) s aesthetic appreciation ideal, its pursuit was revealed for Cheonggogoami(淸高古雅美), Shinunmi(神韻美), Gojolmi(古拙美) and Gigoemi(奇怪美) centering on Hakyeilchi(學藝一致), Siseohwa ilche(詩書畵一體, combination of poetry, calligraphy and painting), and independent calligraphy faction standpoint(書派觀). As Cheonggogoami(淸高古雅美)’ of having the high intelligence and the personal virtue is the aesthetic consciousness that comes from the condition of having held Munjahyang(文字香) Seogwongi(書卷氣) deeply in the mind, it symbolizes Yugajeongshin(儒家精神) of seeing Ye(藝) as what embodied Do(道). As Shin(神) is the pole of a change, it mysteriously functions in all things and is what cannot completely disclose its form just in word. Chusa(秋史) pursued this with regarding ‘Shinunmi(神韻美),’ which transcended a shape in Siseohwa(詩書畵), as the ultimate stage of art. As Gojolmi(古拙美) is what originated from the attitude of respecting old things, Chusa(秋史) perceived Gojolmi(古拙美), which is detected in Goye(古隸), as the supreme beauty while identifying ‘Jol(拙)’ as ‘Shinmyo(神妙).’ Also, he aimed at ‘Gigoemi(奇怪美)’ with recognizing that Gigoe(奇怪) according to own Jayeoncheongi(自然天機)-based essence is a vital element of forming Seo(書, calligraphy). In conclusion, the pursuit for the independent calligraphy faction standpoint and the aesthetic appreciation ideal that Chusa(秋史) established can be considered to be the outcome that is mixed the deeply-held learning, the artistic propensity and the Jayeoncheongi(自然天機)-based essence.
