국문 초록

<문장풍류삼대록>의 서사적 특징은 충에 대한 서사가 거의 드러나지 않고, 효와 정절에 대한 서사가 완전하게 제거되었으며, 혼인이 서사 진행의 핵심적인 역할을 담당한다. 이러한 <문장풍류삼대록>의 서사는 다음과 같은 몇 가지 의미를 갖는다. 첫째, 삼대록계 소설에서 개인과 국가의 관계가 사라졌다. 따라서 이 작품의 중심 내용과 서사는 철저하게 개인 중심으로 이루어졌다. 둘째, 개인과 가문의 관계에서도 가문 중심보다는 개인 중심으로 서사가 이루어졌다. 가문 내에서 발생하는 처처(妻妻)·처첩·부부·부자·모자·부녀·모녀 사이의 갈등 나타나지 않는다. 그 결과 가문을 유지하는데 절대적 가치로 작용했던 효행이 서사에서 사라졌다. 셋째, 남녀관계에서 남성 중심의 일방성에 변화를 주고 있다. 혼인 이야기에서 가장 중요하게 작용하는 여성의 정절의식이 사라지고, 수절행위가 발생하는 상황이 완전히 제거되면서 여성 등장인물들에게서 수절행위가 나타나지 않는다. 그 결과 남녀관계의 일방성이 사라지게 되었으며, 개인의 능력과 외모가 배우자의 선택 기준으로 명확하게 제시되었다. 넷째, 재자가인소설(才子佳人小說)의 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 등장인물들의 혼인 이야기는 이 작품에서 가장 핵심적인 역할을 하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라, ‘가장 이상적인 재자(才子)와 가인(佳人)의 인물 유형’, ‘여러 변수들의 개입과 우여곡절을 통한 혼사의 진행’, ‘행복한 혼인과 결말’ 등을 통해 볼 때 이 작품은 재자가인소설의 특징을 잘 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

Munjangpungryu Samdaerok is characterized in that it does not contain loyalty, filial piety, or chastity in its narrative, but relies on marriage to develop the story. The narrative of Munjangpungryu Samdaerok has the following meanings. First, the relationship between an individual and a nation, which is typical in three-generation stories, is not included. Instead, the story and narrative develops relying on individuals. Second, even in the relationship between an individual and a family, the narrative is focused more on the individual than on the family. Discord of wives, of concubines, of wife and husband, of father and son, of mother and son, of father and daughter, and of mother and daughter is also not found. As a result, filial piety, which served as an inevitable value to maintain one’s family, does not have its place in this novel. Third, the previous male-dominant relationship between men and women is changed. Female characters are no longer defined by a sense of fidelity, which was the most important value in marriage stories, and make all possible efforts to live as a widow. Accordingly, the man-woman relationship is no longer male-dominated in this novel; instead, capabilities and appearance of an individual are viewed as criteria for choosing a spouse. Fourth, this novel also has elements of a wit-and-beauty story. Marriages of characters basically lead the storyline of this novel. However, considering the characters of the most ideal wit and beauty, marriage interrupted by unexpected events and hardships, and a happy ending, this story can also be categorized as a wit-and-beauty novel.
