영문 초록

The mutagenicity of both Codonopsis pilosula and Pteridium aquilinum was tested with Salmonella typhimuriump TA100 and TA98. As a result of the cytotoxicity assay, the optimum concentration of both Codonopsis pilosula and Pteridium aquilinum for TA100 and TA98 were bellow 200mg/plate. When these bacteria strain were cultured in preincubation method, both extracts increased the mutagenicity of two mutagens benzopyrene and AFBI. And then, these extracts increased dose dependently revertant, but did not show the mutagenicity with S9 mixture.
