국문 초록

한국 전통문양의 가치는 우리나라의 전통문양에 대한 역사성(歷史性)을 이해하고, 조상들의 삶을 느낄 수 있으며 이를 바탕으로 한국미(韓國美)를 재발견하여 현대와 미래를 위한 새로운 형태를 창조할 수 있는 바탕을 마련해야 한다. 다식판은 의례에 사용하는 다식에 문양을 박기 위해 사용되었다. 우리 민족은 조상에 대한 염원이 담겨있는 문양에 새로운 문양을 덧붙여가면서 사용하였다. 그러므로 다식판은 민족 고유의 정서와 당시의 사회 현상을 잘 드러내는 생활도구라 하겠다. 서민들이 만들어 쓰던 다식판은 애초부터 공예품으로 만들어진 것이 아니고 주변에 굴러다니는 나무토막을 주워 적당히 손질한 것이다. 구하기 쉬운 재료로 사용하기 쉽게 만든 민속 예술품의 모체로서의 의미를 지닌다. 시대가 변하고 우리의 감각과 삶이 변함에 따라 다식판의 문양도 변해야 한다고 생각된다. 우리가 쓰는 도구는 그 시대의 생활양식을 반영하기 때문이다. 즉, 이 시대에 맞는 다식판이 필요한 것이다. 이것은 사용하기도 편하고 조형적이며, 미적 감각과 장식성도 있어야 할 것이다. 그러나 우리 조상들의 작업했던 방식을 중심으로 하여 문양 배열도 음양오행 사상을 지키고, 모양새도 옛 것을 기본으로 작업했으면 하면 좋을 것이다.

영문 초록

The value of Korean traditional pattern should be able to understand its history, feel the lives of the ancestors, and rediscover the Korean beauty based on this so as to prepare the foundation to create the new types for the present and the future. Plate of tea confectionary was used to engrave the pattern on the tea confectionary which was used in the rituals. Korean people added the new patterns on those with wishes to the ancestors. Therefore, plate of tea confectionary is considered as the appliance to demonstrate the unique national emotion and the social phenomena at that time. Plates of tea confectionary that were used by the common people were not made as the crafts initially but processed properly with the woods around there. They have the meaning as the origin of folkcraft artworks made of materials easily to get. As the times pass and our senses and lives are changed, the patterns of tea confectionary plate should be changed. This is because the appliances we use apply the living style at the times. That means tea confectionary to satisfy the present era is required. This should be used easily with figurativeness, aesthetic sense and fanciness. However, it would be good to keep the ideas of Yin-yang and five elements of the universe as the patterns focusing on the same types of working by our ancestors, and to work the design as the basic with old ones.
