‘거북선과 학익진 대형의 진법도’에 담겨있는 승첩과 리더십의 비결

국문 초록

우리는 ‘거북선에 대한 자료는 태무하다’고 하면서 각양각색의 거북선을 만들어 왔는데, 실은 直衝, 又衝, 而今등을 오역했기에 있는 자료를 두고도 자료가 태무하다고 잘못 알아온 것이다. 반면 이들 오역을 바로 잡으면, 23전 23승의 해전도가 선명하게 그려지고, 20세기 세계 해군들의 학익진 연구와 승계사도 설득력 있게 정립된다. 충무공은 어려운 전란 중에도 군영경영과 후방고을 경영에 성공한바, 이 역시 승첩과 리더십 비결의 원천이 된 거 같다.

영문 초록

When looking at Janggye of Chungmugong, there is a phrase ‘besieging from the east and the west, and it means Hakikjinbeop in the Okpo Sea Battle. In the Sachunpo Sea Battle, the Geobukseon was added to Hakikjin of the Okpo Sea Battle. In the Dangpo Sea Battle, the Geobukseon approached the Japanese ship and collided with the ship as the water depth of Dangpo was deep, and Yongmeoripo (dragon head-shaped cannon) attached a Japanese general of Chungryu (Hamgyo). In the Danghangpo Sea Batter, there appeared Ssanghakikjin. By the way, although there are data mistranslating ‘直衝(Jikchung), 又衝(Uchung), 而今(Yigeum)’ in Janggye of Chungmugong, we have been misled that there has been no data. Upon the right interpretation on Janggye of Chungmugong, the ‘principle of Guhbooksun+Hakikjin’ is deciphered from the Okpo Sea Battle to the Danghangpo Sea Battle, and then, the sea battle pictures are also deciphered applying the ‘principle of Geobukseon +Hakikjin’ to the battles from the Hansando Sea Battle to the Noryang Sea Battle. From thereon, the successive history of the principle of Yi Sun Shin’s sea battles is deciphered for the 20th century navy worldwide. If we correct the mistranslation in Janggye of Chungmugong, we can clearly picture the sea battle recording 23 victories among 23 battles. That tells us the secret of leadership that made Yi Sun Sin invincible.
